The evacuation of Krigargaa was almost complete, mainly because there were not that many left to evacuate. What the rescue forces encountered most in the streets were flying monsters that were once the populace. Still, the ships were loading in thousands of civilians, nearly all badly wounded in some way. There were suspicions of thousands more trapped throughout the colony, but there was no way to get to them.

Both the Unani and the Edolas fleets suddenly got a transmission from Dae. "This is Shaat Horine, president of the Dasan Union. I wish to thank you in advance for your efforts on Krigargaa, what you are doing is saving a lot of lives. I wish I could assist you with troops, but I'm fully occupied with trying to organize things here. When you are done, please contact me for further discussion. Horine out."he said, and the radio turned off.

3/4th of your fleet was destroyed, you sacraficed the leader of the fleet and his ship to destroy a Shadow ship, and most of the remaining civilians are safely aboard our ships.
Going smoothly I see :sorcerer:

Mass Effect has been soiled and it looks like it's staying that way.
Doesn't mean we should shut up and apply Okay-face.

'Oly Crap! Just looked at the Dasan fact sheet. I could make the Saxcanae extinct in one campaign! :P
That sheet is outdated. I'll have to update it as soon as I get access to a real computer.

"Thats alright Captain Jakkatt, although this changes the situation significantly, We have met up with an Edolas fleet and as such we are about to move to clear up some airspace to attempt an evacuation. If possible could give us access to the local satellites and defensive installations to allow us some eyes and cover?"
"I'm afraid that's impossible, Captain. All our satellites over Krigargaa were destroyed in the initial attack. That's why we haven't had any contact."

It took a little while, but soon The Unani had managed to send a medium sized fleet consisting of 200 ships, with Fleet Captain Rivera leading the battle. "Dasan's we are currently in mid-stream towards your colony, ETA apprx 10 minutes. Hold out as long as you can!". When the communication was over Rivera turned to his second in command "Get the fleet in formation during transit so we can start up the battle immediately. We just need to spare them enough time to evacuate."
Rivera's callings were first met with nothing but static, but soon the radio sparked to life and they heard the translated squawking of a Saxcanae. "This is Captain Jakkatt of Dae military command; we appreciate the help, Captain Rivera. We have no idea what goes on down on Krigargaa. All communications seem to have been blocked and we've completely lost contact. We cannot make an approach ourselves, so you'll have to find and evacuate any survivors yourself, I'm afraid."a man said. "However, you're not fully alone. A portion of survivors from the planet's defense fleets are stationed behind the planet's moon. Identify yourselves as Unani to them, and they will probably assist you in whatever way they can."

Damn Tommy, I'm flattered  :D

I had no idea the Shadows would tear into the Dasan Union this badly  :D
The Saxcanae are a peaceful people who haven't been to war in hundreds of years. They were unprepared, unorganized and had a small army. Oh, and ground infantry engagement is impossible, since Saxcanae are meant to fly. If they want to be on the ground, they have to be in a vehicle.

So yeah, Dasan military sucks. The only good thing they have that the others don't have are their bending mechanisms.

The Dasan colony of Krikargaa was burning. Screams, heat and the smell of blood filled the air. They came so suddenly, completely without warning. No declaration of war was presented, the Dasans didn't even know who their enemy were. But they were thorough. Every line of defense had fallen. Every strategy doctrine useless. Every supply line cut off. The chain of command had evaporated; all traces of organization obliterated. All ports and docks had been destroyed, evacuation had been made completely impossible. Everyone, soldier and civilian, fought desperately for their lives, but they were dropping like flies on every front.

Warrant Officer Klognal Föth ran as well as a Saxcanae could through the corridors of the underground bunker, or what was left of it. He was wounded, badly. His left wing was broken, his body had several burns, every one more severe than the last, and he had several gunshot wounds in his abdomen. He finally reached his goal: the comm room. He made his way over the computer and, using all his remaining concentration, got it working. All radio comms were disabled. All he could do was to send out a distress message through different relays and simply hope someone would snap it up.

"This is (painful grunt)...this is Warrant Officer Klognal Föth of the Dasan(grunt)...Dasan Union. Is anyone out there? We've been attacked by an unknown enemy on the colony world of Krigargaa! (Grunt) We've suffered heavy losses! Requesting immediate aid - we're getting slaughtered! I repeat, requesting..."

He suddenly silenced when he found no more energy to speak. He felt so tired all of a sudden. He just wanted to sit down. Sit down and rest. No...have to stay awake...stay awake. His knees gave away and he fell to the ground, hitting his broken wing first. But to his horror he didn't feel a thing. He put his other wing on the computer terminal and tried to pull himself up. Wings aren't made for holding or pulling, and he had practically no energy left, but he managed to get back up to the terminal. He just wanted to rest. What harm could come out of that?

He put his head on the metal casing of the terminal and looked into the wall to his side. His vision started filling with a light, brighter than he had ever seen. "Huh...so there was a light...they spoke the truth."he said weakly, then shut his eyes slowly and all life disappeared from his body. As the connection between his mind and the computer was cut, the computer took it as a command to end the recording and it sent out the message. It would come to reach the empires in the closest vicinity; the Unani Empire, the Crescanian Confederacy, the Kingdom of Edolas and the Union of Kurgan.

And by the way, the civilization I discovered is the Bridgend Commune which is pretty close since Rin didn't move my empire even though I asked him to.

"Alright, We could do that" she replied as she leaned forward in her chair a bit. "Currently the agreed asking price for allies on the technology is 4Million Cr for the current revision, or 2Million for the older revision. What it includes is the schematics for the Tri Anti-Fusion-Matter Hybrid Engine, Unani Slipspace Drive, and the Unani Space-core Powerplant

Both the Current and the older revision serve the same purpose, although the Current revision of the Slipspace Drive was designed to enable long ranged jumps with a much higher accuracy with a lower overall jump time. The power plants output has been redesigned to be more efficient. And the Thrusters will get up to higher speeds for a lower energy cost."
"We will, naturally, take the newer."Horine replied. "4 million is nothing for a nation's budget."

Rin was sitting at her desk at the Unani Parliament building working on some important documents when Kelly came up on the holographic projector at the corner of the desk "You are getting a video communications request from Shaat Horine of the Dasan Union... Should I put him through?" Within a second she had turned and nodded, "I'll accept the transmission". This causing the main holographic projector on the desk to switch to the video call.

"Hello Shaat, How have you been?"
Horine made a polite bow of his head in greeting. "I have been doing fine, Ms. Hoshira. But I did not call for a small chat, I'm afraid."he said. Another holographic screen appeared in front of him that Rin could also see. "We have detected special readings from a planetary sector relatively close to us, about the same distance as the one between us. We believe it may come from another civilization. Whether this civilization still exists, we do not know, but we wish to explore it nonetheless."

The small screen went away. "Though sadly, my people do not have the technology to travel for such long distances. But you do; the reason I'm calling is to request you to share your FTL technology. We are willing to pay for it."

Shaat Horine, the Dasan president, sat on a pole that stuck up from the floor, then turned to the side. Saxcanae preferred sitting like birds on branches and poles. Not surprising, considering they are birds. With a simple brain pulse - in lack of a better word in any human language - he activated the holographic screen in front of him. "This is president Shaat Horine of the Dasan Union, calling Rin Hoshira of the Unani Empire."he said, and waited for a response.

Oh, Tommy... I was wondering if you wanted to fill in the Description of Race and/or the best Airforce and Space Units sections on your character sheet before I add it back to the OP?
Sure.
Spoiler for The Dasan Union = Tommy:
The Dasan Union

Leader: Shaat Horine

Territory: 1 star system (home world Dae, 3 colonies, 4 uninhabitable planets, 2 asteroid fields)
Spoiler for Welcome to Planet Dae!:

Race: Saxcanae (Avian species)
Description of Race:About the length of a croiz. Has brown, white or cream-coloured feathers with purple, dark blue or teal edges. Has a long, sharp, yellow beak and sharp, black talons. Have neither arms nor hands, but have managed to build up a civilization with their inborn ability for minor telekinesis. Eyes are brown, gold or striking blue. Have the classical massive chest muscles of all flying creatures.

Population: 7 billion

Society: The Saxcanae are a free, tolerant and peaceful people. They much rather make alliances than enemies. Love is held extremely high in the union, whether the genders are different or no.

Government: Democracy: the union is led by a president that is elected every 5 years, but they can be re-elected 1 time, and so stay in power for 10 years.

Economy: Moderately rich because of all the natural resources on their home world as well as because of asteroid mining.

Military: Weak due to the Dasan Union's pacifistic state. They're able to defend themselves, but wouldn't make it through a long-termed siege.

Defense: Although their greatest defense is their ability to avoid conflict, they have a number of missile bases as well as a relatively large fleet. Other than that, not much else.

Technology: Have unlocked the ability to manipulate the environment using special devices to bend fields of energy to propel, pull in or move around objects as well as people. They can even manipulate gravity and make someone fall up until they come outside the field, resulting in a fatal drop in most cases. These devices are restricted to the military, but greatly makes up for the Union's otherwise gunpowder-based weaponry.
Space Travel: Basic Out of System

Back Story:

Alliances: None

Trading Agreement: None

Strengths: Strongly diplomatic, easily makes friends, have the ability to bend everything from gravity to light. Controls all weapons and vehicles using their minds, preventing other races from using salvaged weaponry.

Weakness: Weak armies. Few soldiers, few artillery, generally small base of military.

Best Infantry Unit: Bender: a soldier using the high-tech bending devices. With a simple head movement they can do everything from crushing a tank into a ball of metal to change the course of a flying bullet.

Best Vehicle Unit: Lakos: A heavy tank with reinforced titanium armour to protect from bending fields. Firing high-impact grenades through two barrels, as well as 13mm armour penetrating bullets through a turret on the roof. The tank's unique feature of walking on six long legs makes it possible to move around in almost any terrain.

Best Airforce Unit: Göll: Small, flexible bomber, each outfitted with 2 anti-armor missiles, 2 sets of cluster bombs, 1 anti-personnel and anti-aircraft chaingun and a 2,2 terrawatt EMP shield.

Best Space Unit: KäR-41 Destroyer - a 3 miles long super bomber with capacity for 1600 bombs - be they chemical, ballistic or nuclear. Though the lack of defense guns under it makes it vulnerable to boarding from below, if the attackers are willing to face a swarm of bombs on them.
