Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim to use Steamworks as DRM
« on: August 17, 2011, 10:55:02 PM »
[float=left][attach=1][/float]
It is now confirmed by a tweet in the official Elder Scrolls Twitter account that Steamworks is the DRM of choice for Skyrim.

So, this means that whomever buys it on retail, will have to get a Steam account to activate the game.

For Steam users, business as usual.

Via Shacknews and Twitter.

Better if retail copies didn't need any sort of activation. But if we can't avoid that... I'll rather use Steam than GFWL.

Oh thank god. I love Steam.
