Also, some concepts for this game.

Spoiler for Nimher the Wise:

Spoiler for Navarian warg rider:

Spoiler for Gratenian sea raider:

Spoiler for Kolthenian soldiers:

Also, a few months ago me and Ragez talked about an idea I had with a new NPC nation in this game:
Spoiler for Hiden:

The Mossadi Empire - a mighty Turkish-speaking empire following the same religion as the Abbasid Emirate. The sultanate was once a small client state of the Abbasids before the Mossadis defeated the Abbasids in a long and bloody war with the help of the Attaturk sultanate, which was then a much stronger nation, and declared their independence. In the following centuries, the Mossadis spread their kingdom north until it became the largest empire known. Their hostility to the Abbasids have decreased little during this time. It is ruled by the human sultan Mehmed II, but because of its conquests it has included several other races as well:
Spoiler for Humans:

The original Mossadis, originating from the mountains and steppes just north of the Abbasid Emirate. Aside from a number of small human kingdoms on the western coast conquered in the past, they are the only humans in the empire. As for the military, the majority of humans serve as light horse archers and heavily armoured horse lancers.

Spoiler for Sand Elves:

Originating from the desert areas in the central parts of the continent, the Sand Elves spread out into the surrounding savannah and grasslands and is today one of the most numerous and common types of elves. The Mossadis conquered the last sand-elf kingdom sixty years ago, and the elves have now been fully incorporated into Mossadi society, having full Mossadi citizenship and serving in Mossadi armies. They are renowned for their archers and gold- and silversmiths, and for being least gifted type of elf in terms of magic.

Spoiler for Gnolls:

A once savage race from the great savannahs of the central regions of the empire, the Gnolls fought the Mossadis ferociously for over a century before the last clan was finally conquered, and the Gnolls have since been more or less civilized and now hold full Mossadi citizenship. The Gnolls make up the majority of the entire Mossadi army, serving solely as melee infantry, as they are too aggressive be good archers and they cannot serve as cavalry because they not only scare the horses, but are so heavy that the horse would move as if it was covered in heavy plate, which makes humans and elves much more effective cavalrymen. The standard Gnoll infantryman, however, is typically equipped with a single javelin, which they are instructed to throw at the enemy line moments before engaging in melee.

Spoiler for Targaks:
A savage people from the eastern grasslands, the Targaks are the only race living in Mossadi territory that is not an actual part of the Mossadi Empire, since Mossadi attempts at civilizing them proved fruitless, and so neither the Targaks nor the Mossadis want the Targaks to be part of Mossadi society. The Targaks still serve in Mossadi armies, but only as mercenaries and auxiliaries. It is a proven fact that Targaks are in fact a type of elf, but this is denied by both the Targaks and other kinds of elves, both insisting that the Targaks are a separate species, despite the evidence saying they are in fact elves.

It is the currently largest nation on the continent, and has a long history of conquest, but it is very backwards, and would fall apart if it weren't for its riches and acceptance of foreign races and cultures.

Its strengths are it's great number of soldiers, its legendary horse arhcers, its cultural diversity which has heavily influenced their warfare by adding the best from all the integrated cultures, and its great riches. Its weaknesses are it's backwardness, meaning that the very poor many are led by the very rich few, which raises the risk for revolts and rebellions, their little usage of magic and advanced technology, and the fact that they are a bit overextended.

The Mossadis are supposed to serve as a common enemy of all player empires, and is going to remain for the entirety of the game unless it is agreed by players to destroy them. If they are approved to begin with, that is. So, how about it? Will the Mossadis be allowed to exist?

Keep calm and move along.

Welp, it seems like I accidentally posted the same post 5 times in a row. If anyone wonders why, it is because the page had an error every time I tried to post, so I tried five times, and now they are all dropping in.

I like them. Especially since I plan to have the undead expand into the Desert. (To Claim some Egyptian themed areas for Quests and excrement, which I had already planned before this game slowed down so much).

Sounds good I look forward to taking a chunk or two out of their empire. Not wipe them out of course as they make a nice addition that fits the time period well.

I really like the ideas of Sand Elves; Derris Kharlan, my capital city, is built atop an ancient Elven city (which now serves as a high-level dungeon for adventurer characters). The name Derris Kharlan is, itself, an Elven name to begin with (it most certainly isn't Arabic).

It may have been the Sand Elves, or their ancestors, that built the underground city.

Probably not the Sand Elves serving the Mossadis, though, unless Derris Kharlan is on old colony. These elves come from the north, while Derris Kharlan is in the south. There are probably more elves around the Emirate too, though. Little excrements are everywhere.

Since this rp is supposed to have some elements of realism and authenticity in it, I think this guy is a very good source to turn to for facts about medieval/ancient weapons, tactics, armours, etc. I know fantasy differs a lot from history in just about all aspects, but you'd be surprised just how much it does.

Rule of Cool shouldn't apply in this at all unless you are a boss level character, in which you shouldn't be involved in small things anyway.

Works for me. Realism tend to be more fun than fantasy anyway.

Though when it comes to weird weapon shapes, we at least have the excuse of magical crafting here. Using those weapons, however, are another thing.

This is still rather high fantasy.

But Grim darkness may be necessary to make it a bit more brutal.

Forty men with one club throw? What tomfoolery is this?

It should've easily killed and injured beyond fighting twenty before either the under-crushed gore and armor stopped it, or the momentum of the club was lost. Human beings aren't bowling pins, and Gandalfr armor is pretty damned heavy, so I don't think Rule of Cool should apply for that club either.

Really? I thought it was kind of reasonable :I

Though I admit, as I wrote that I imagined the club being like three metres long, even though that's the length of the entire troll. I'll change it, but it still swept with it everyone who stood in front of the cave, they would have been extremely tightly packed together to fit forty men there anyway.

By the way, Ragez, it is possible for Kasado's campaign to fail, just so you know that your army doesn't have plot armour. I will be fair in what I'm throwing at you, but remember that Kasado's entire army can very well perish in those mountains before they even reach Gratenia. My goal with this whole campaign is to challenge you.
