Alright, looks like we've got enough players to start dis shiet. Remember, the game still welcomes new players. Female characters are currently encouraged.

But women would only slow us down... :bandit:

Poor Roman...though I suspect you have something devious in mind for me. :P

Which brings the next question...are any of us going to meet?

The plan is for all the players to meet and form a group. It's up to you when you join that group, however.

And there is currently nothing I can throw at you without making it seem rushed, so you can just post again if you wish.

Keep calm and move along.

I'll join ASAP, as while David isn't used to working with civvies, he see's the value in numbers.

I'll wait for the others, as I'm essentially planning on Nikolai finding me at some point.

I've added your character, Crane. I have three things to say, though.

You left "Sexual orientation" empty, so I just filled it in for you. If he is something else than Heterosexual, Bisexual for example, you will have to tell me.

I don't really get why you would want to be a helicopter pilot. What are the odds of anyone ever finding a helicopter?

And I really like the fact that you chose to use an entrenching tool as weapon. Really interesting choice.

And another thing. I did not know there was a war from 1979-1989, and I'm a little curious. Could you fill me in on that one?

Keep calm and move along.

Another thing, everyone: you will in fact encounter other survivors now and then in the beginning, as the outbreak came less than 24 hours ago. But as the game moves on, you will see less and less survivors, and that might sometime be for the best.

Keep calm and move along.

Ibrahim can understand Russian, Tobbs. He was required to take a basic Russian language course by his company.

You should have said that before. Don't worry, I'll change it.

Oops
Helicopter pilot because why not?
Entrenching tool ftw

The soviet Union declared war on Afghanistan in 1979 to place a political leader more willing to accept soviet demands in power. It turned into a big mess as the afghan guerrilla forces gave the russians a bloody nose. Like the US in vietnam they ended up leaving and their puppet regime fell rather easily. The soviets made heavy use of air power during the war, particularly the Mi-24 hind helicopter gunship. (As seen in every Call of Duty game since MW)

Wait a minute, let me retcon. The odds are stacked way against you guys with the kind of equipment you have if you have to fight off five at the same time.

Scratch that, you've got reinforcements.

Wait, stop. Just stop. We need to establish how many you are dealing with here. First I wrote five more, but changed it to two because I figured Necross and Grif would get overrun. But then Ragez came by and evened out the odds, so I changed it back to five, but then Ragez changed his response to two.

How many do you want to deal with?

Keep calm and move along.

How about three?

Alright, we'll go with three. But you should know that a knife can be a real sucky weapon against Zeds if you don't hit any holes or gaps in the skull. Slitting their throats like you did does not kill them, their hearts are not even pumping so they don't need blood.

In short, watch your ass.

Keep calm and move along.
