What are your thoughts on using this PC as a base?
Mazder_Verhal:
What do you people think of this PC as a base for my next PC. As far as I know it looks decent enough and is a good price to then get parts for it if needs be, which I know I'll need some parts as I'd like it to play stuff on higher end graphics wise and stuff like that.
So yeah what do you think?
Is it a good base, what parts do you think I'll need along with it, please also note that I'll be on English voltage level, just in case you need to know for the PSU, which I know I'll already need to upgrade if I am gonna get a better graphics card or something.

Good starting point. Maybe more memory, or the video card + PSU combo as you pointed out. If your budget is tight, keep that card, it is a good entry to mid level video card, especially if you get a free copy of DIRT 3 with it as on that ad.

If you're going to get other parts down the line and install them yourself, you might as well start from scratch.

Well I have a planned range of up to £1000.
So if I buy that I could do both maybe, dunno I am not sure on the memory and how it works but if I need more then I'll get it.

Yeah but I'd rather have something to look at to know how everything goes first rather from starting from scratch, plus it'll be more of a bother for me as I am computer illiterate, if I knew what I was doing I would be doing the parts thing first.
I'll probably give myself a better graphics card or something but some people over in Clan Zorah said it would be good enough to play most stuff on higher end anyway.
Was advised to get a better processor though, so I think I might do that.

If it's improvement in games you're concerned about, upgrade the GPU first. That CPU is fine.
