After 80 hours or so I just decided, "Ah, what the heck.  I may as well beat the campaign."  So that's what I did.

Now to go do random things until I feel like making a new character.  I don't think I have explored even half of the places even though it's hard to see the map because of all of the icons on it.

Edit:  I also am using the shader/HDR mod and some texture mods.  Looks pretty cool.

So yeah, installed a mod that was supposed to improve textures on female characters. I don't know if it did, but it seemed to have deleted all files for male characters, and the game crashes whenever I try loading. Do you think uninstalling and reinstalling the game will do?

Keep calm and move along.

Deleting the mod should work.  If it doesn't then a re-install would be in order.

Well, you see, deleting a mod doesn't work when it replaced important files that you can't get back. But it wouldn't surprise me if re-installing wouldn't work either. Nothing works smoothly for me. Ever.

Keep calm and move along.

You did it wrong, I think. Adding mods should never, ever, delete stuff the base game uses. If you somehow deleted a file used by the base (vanilla) game, you'll either have to reinstall (from disks) or revalidate the cache files (if using steam).

That's true.  Normally mods are just pasted into folders, sometimes replacing configuration files but never base game files.

Maybe he tried to move stuff around and ended up deleting a bunch of files.

I downloaded it, and took the folder, which was named Data, and replaced the current Data. Then stuff disappeared. I'm using NMM from now on.

Keep calm and move along.

Alright, so I've re-installed the game and...nope, still not working. Files still gone.

Oh snap, what to do...

It was something like Bella's Better Females v3 or something. Supposed to improve female textures.

And also, I tried loading an auto save. Loading it worked, but everything was black and then it got completely gently-carressed up. It's like all textures have disappeared.

EDIT: Made a full removal and re-install. Now it works. Hurray!

I'd recommend this mod:
SkyUI

Changes the inventory menu to a much, much better one.

REQUIRES the Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE).

Oh, and maybe this one:

I finally got Skyrim. Smithing is definitely fun. I haven't gotten to the Higher end stuff but I am enjoying the look of Dwarven armor. Especially the helmet.

Hey everyone...I've got a problem. A big problem.

You know that quest in the beginning where you're supposed to get that stone tablet for Farengar? And then Irileth comes and talks to Farengar? Yeah, that doesn't happen for me. When I complete that quest, Irileth literally disappears. Like, not that she walks far away or anything, she ceases to exist. How do I know this? I tried continuously teleporting her to me while I went to talk to Farengar (I always get that golden claw before I go to Whiterun), but when I complete the quest, she disappears. Is it just me that has this problem, or has it happened to someone else? I really want to continue on the story.

Keep calm and move along.

I play console version so don't have that problem.

Not sure what to say besides playing the game without mods, and make sure its patched up to date.
