Bungie's Last Halo Vi-Doc is finally out.
« on: August 05, 2011, 07:03:29 PM »
[float=left]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtG6--4r_qk[/float] Bungies new Vi-Doc within the Halo Universe is out. Clocking in at an hour long, it surely is a must see for all want-to-be game designers.

Inside of the Vi-Doc they cover everything from Bungies Past, Present, and Future. They explain in detail how the world hitting Universe "Halo" came to form. Showing the Hardships and Shortcomings. The Vi-Doc covers every aspect from the Game Design of Halo managing to cover many aspects. Aspects such as The creation of the famous Music, Gameplay, Multiplayer, Art, and AI. Some of the other aspects include pretty much everything you would imagine in game design. At the end is also some snip-its at Bungie's Rumoured new Universe "Destiny".

I personally think that it is a Must see for all Wannabe game designers because it is very enlightening all the work that is put into making things work. I loved it.

Halo: Reach was the last one to be made by Bungie.
Halo 4 is going to be developed by 343 Industries, which is staffed by former Bungie employees and owned by Microsoft.

I for one am thrilled that Halo isn't going to be put to rest, even without Bungie.

And whatever Bungie is working on next, I'm sure it will fail to disappoint.

still a part of the same series, though.

You're arguing semantics. Reach was the last in the series to be made by Bungie,
and it could very well be in that employee's opinion it's the best way to end the series.

But not part of the same trillogy. you have to remember Halo is a Universe, just like starwars, startreck, Mass Effect..ODST and Reach are stand alone games focusing on different parts of the universe.

Trillogy 1 is H123 and it focuses on the human covenant war. Trillogy 2 is H456 and focuses on (what we think is the Forerunners) because of the setting-other than the Chief and Cortana-we will have completely different Enemies, Weapons, Vehicles, Story, Ect. thats the benifit of games with large universes.

my views are different then. to me, anything in the same universe that can be related in any way is a series.

They may have meant their interaction with the series, not the series itself.
