Ivy Bridge is what I'm waiting on. When that launches I'm gonna be on it like a fat kid on chocolate. :D my dual 5870s work just fine for now.
I'm going to spring for a 580 before the end of the year. Disposable income to the rescue!

he got the FTW liquid cooling edition. It looks gently-carressing sweet. And I know. I told him to stay ATi but he wouldn't listen.
I just wish the driver would be better. It has glitches with certain games.

I could easily recommend this game from what I have experienced in 3-4 hours so far. I have had minor problems with graphics: For some reason, the game doesn't allow me to run the game in 1280x720 or 1920x1080 without making the game unplayable in progress. It's not gamebreaking, as I can play with other resolutions, but as these two would be the most ideal resolutions for me, it annoys the crap out of me. :D

And the almighty Google doesn't have an answer for this, so I guess I'll have to live with it for now. :D
Bugs. try to update it to 1.1 or the latest. Also, it has performance problems with ATI cards.
1680x1050 is the best res IMO
Not much sense in using anything else than the native resolution for the monitor, unless the situation is dire. It blurs the image a bit. Makes small fonts even harder to read.

Speaking of 'mech chassis, i'd go with either Clan or IS tech, depending on the occasion and which mechs I like more.

As for weaponry, I tend to favor Clan tech because it usually saves tonnage so I can add more armor/heatsinks/jumpjets/weapons.

Excellent game, at least for me. Just finished a playthrough choosing Roche's side. I intend to do another on the elves' side.
