[/float] Now that the cat's out of the bag on multiplayer on ME3, it seems BioWare is more willing to talk about a few of the features. A developer interview with Casey Hudson was released on BioWare TV recently where Hudson explains a few of the features we can expect, and the reasons he felt now was a good time to add multiplayer to the series.
In addition, EA revealed that the "Galaxy at War" content is unlocked via a code found only in new copies of the game, or by paying extra. I don't believe they've released a price, but I think it's safe to say, given past "New Copy Code" content in BioWare such as the Cerberus Network for Mass Effect 2, the price will be fifteen dollars. You can also apparently romance other players' characters in multiplayer... that won't be awkward.
