Mass Effect 3: Extened Cut Announced
The Doctor:
[float=left][attach=1][/float]Looks like Bioware/EA has finally given a definitive response to the ending controversy. A free DLC will be released to "expand upon the events at the end" and "give fans seeking further clarity to the ending of Mass Effect 3 deeper insights into how their personal journey concludes". Personally this is far more than I expected but I think it's no coincidence this news is released today as Bioware will have a panel at PAX east and this will allow them to easily deflect any questions regarding the ending. A release date is not exactly given but a note of "OFFER EXPIRES APRIL 12, 2014" is interesting, suggesting an quick release. We shall see...
Via Bioware and EA

Still doesn't seem like enough. I would rather they just put the time into having an optional secondary ending for those who want it than what they are implying it to be
LordNecross:
I already knew they were not gonna change it. I am happy they are willing to explain it and hopefully fix some of the things that just plain don't make sense, like the whole being abandoned by you buds.
JDog2pt0:
Heh. Looks like they're pulling out all the stops for this one. Not.
Welp, there goes my hope for a completely different ending. I suppose if they don't play it just right, they'll just be pouring salt on an open wound. Then there's the "Offer expires April 12" I mean, wtf is up with that. Probably EA
Also, took the time to read though the article on Bioware. Rather than re-open the wound for myself, I may just avoid this one. All it is is an extended cutscene. Bioware still pulling the "artistic" BS. Nothing to see here folks. Mass Effect has been soiled and it looks like it's staying that way.
