I blame Origin for the sheer amount of pirating. Next time a good EA game comes out, I am going to pirate it, then mail my $60 to the developer.  :teehee:

For people complaining about "too human" what did you all expect? I mean, in the books, they say they look basically human. We all should have expected this.....

Spoiler for Hiden:
Doing a Brenton mage playthrough, this time with a female named Sholeh Arman. I found it nice to have a picture of someone, then try to get that face as close as possible to the actual photo.

Michigan tried to legalize bullying for "religious and moral purposes." This wouldn't surprise me if it were true.   ;)

Hey, I thought I would make a thread so that all of you can post pictures of what your Dragonborn looks like. Appearance, character creation, and customization is an important part in Skyrim, so, let's show off your characters!

Here is Venci Malruk. Wood elf, assassin archer, and a great barterer. I have crap armor at the moment, so will upload more pics when I get something awesome looking.

I like your intro, as it is very strongly written. For me (my style differs from yours by a lot) I like to add in the character's physical appearance in trickles instead of listing off what he looks like. Lists bore people and I found myself trying to get through it. Try to implement the physical details into the story so the reader glances over it and picks up on it in unknowingly, but knows what kind of helmet he wears.
"The sun of the Mojave heated his steel helmet to where it was hot to the touch."
Also, get more into the character's head and express his thoughts. Characters is what makes the story interesting, so feel free to write about what he is thinking, not just what is physically going on around him. That is one thing I notice in novice writer's material. Once you hurdle that, your character will become three-dimensional.
Interesting so far....

Ew, that looks gross. I was reading some comments on Gametrailers under the debut trailer, and the console race was saying how PC gamers were wrong and they were right about having an xbox/PS3 that can run the same game as a 900 dollar rig. It was entertaining...

And coming from someone who wrote something as touching as Deception... :P
The dark stuff was....a deception.

I had a totally unproductive day and played about 9 hours of BF:BC2, to which I didn't loose a single game and dominated with my squad, to which has been described by my adversaries as, "A biblical swarm of locusts."

Gaming Discussion / Red Orchestra 2: Heros of Stalingrad
« on: July 31, 2011, 02:03:48 PM »
Ever since the first game was released, I was mesmerized by the authenticity of this World War II first person shooter, set in the bleak, brutal, and downright violent backdrop of the Eastern Front where you could play as the Wehrmacht or a Red Army soldier. The attention to detail (it is me talking, you know) and the sounds of war blew me away, both from the abrasive infantry experience to the 800 meter, realistic armor engagements. Now, my friends, the second installment is coming out on 8/30/11 to which I am trembling with excitement, almost to the point where I am curled in the fetal position, fists balled up, and eyes glazed over, staring into oblivion in a stupor joy. My reason for this downright weird anticipation is that there are two campaigns, one where you play as a Red Army platoon and wait for it... one where you play as the Wehrmacht, which really hasn't been done before. Using my eyes and ears, which have been labeled ruthless by some when weeding out inconsequential faults in games, I have noticed that this game is spot on, from the way the Wehrmacht soldiers hold their Mauser K98k when moving from cover to cover, to the sounds of bullets breaking the sound-barrier when cleaving their way towards your skull. I cannot be more excited for game to embed itself into my hard dive.  Will anyone else be joining me in this authentic, historical game when it hits the shelves in late August?

If this is about jungle, I will kill myself. And when my tainted spirit finds its destination, I will topple the master of that dark place. From my black throne, I will lash together a machine of bone and blood, and fueled by my hatred for you this fear engine will bore a hole between this world and that one. When it begins, you will hear the sound of children screaming - as though from a great distance. A smoking orb of nothing will grow above your bed, and from it will emerge a thousand starving crows. As I slip through the widening maw in my new form, you will catch only a glimpse of my radiance before you are incinerated. Then as tears of bubbling pitch stream down my face, my dark work will begin. I will open one of my six mouths, and I will sing the song that ends the Earth.
