[float=left](http://www.dealspwn.com/writer/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Mass-Effect-3-logo.jpg)[/float] Now that the cat's out of the bag on multiplayer on ME3, it seems BioWare is more willing to talk about a few of the features. A developer interview with Casey Hudson was released on BioWare TV recently where Hudson explains a few of the features we can expect, and the reasons he felt now was a good time to add multiplayer to the series.
In addition, EA revealed that the "Galaxy at War" content is unlocked via a code found only in new copies of the game, or by paying extra. I don't believe they've released a price, but I think it's safe to say, given past "New Copy Code" content in BioWare such as the Cerberus Network for Mass Effect 2, the price will be fifteen dollars. You can also apparently romance other players' characters in multiplayer... that won't be awkward.

I like. But what do they mean by "only available in new copies of the game". Aren't all copies you buy new ones?

Like how EA does it, You dont have to worry about it unless you buy the game used.

I read it in the Joystiq article, and a few other articles. So I'm fairly certain it's true.

Stores like Gamestop allow you to buy games used. There's also game rental services.

Yes, of course, didn't think of the option of buying used copies.

I wonder what it will do.
It reminds me of a Scion, just without the giant goo bag on it's back.

Now I'm asking myself something, how come all of the huskified aliens we've seen until now are big and bulky, and human husks are those puny little things? (Except the Scion, and the Praetorian, but that one seems to be made of a group of individuals)

I'm not looking forward to how the huskified Krogan will look like.
I know they'll most likely going to have charge attacks.

Just waiting to see what kind of nightmare fuel other species produce...

Does this mean that multiplayer is going to be a necessary component in getting a completely successful single player playthrough?
That leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
EDIT:
Well, I'm slightly reassured by this article: http://www.kotaku.com.au/2011/10/mass-effect-3s-co-op-multiplayer-fully-detailed-by-bioware-is-entirely-optional/ (http://www.kotaku.com.au/2011/10/mass-effect-3s-co-op-multiplayer-fully-detailed-by-bioware-is-entirely-optional/)

Mass Effect multiplayer? Well, as long as it don't affect the Singleplayer, I don't bloody care.

One has to hope that its chosen path through the game will end in the optimal ending. If it doesn't...oops.

I've got no problem playing through the game multiple times to get the best ending. But I don't have Xbox LIVE nor a PC advanced enough to run Mass Effect 2 at any appreciable speed, and it would be extremely detrimental to my experience to require multiplayer to achieve a perfect ending. Since I've been lead to believe it doesn't I am at ease.
