Cold Shock
The void of space is vast and empty, the distance between star systems is impossibly vast and the space between galaxies even more so. The advent of faster than light technologies has made the distances between stars seem negligible for many space faring Species. Despite this the Universe is still vast and much of it uncharted, with many things hiding in the  cold dark void.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A sleek silver grey ship drifted among the vast emptiness, the reflections of distant stars glinted off its surface as it silently went on. The inside of the ship was sleek and roomy, with long hallways and many rooms.

Aboard the bridge stood stood an imposing armored figure, standing before a digital projection, sifting through documents and information with swipes of his ceramic clad hand. It information listed different star systems and sentient species of interest. It seemed there was also a collection of dossiers on the screen, one was already highlighted.

A clear genderless voice chimed in through the ship's audio systems.

“Master Osiris, I have finished compiling information on the major players in this galactic sector, I recommend our next stop should be the Sol System, it would be pertinent to retrieve the candidate located in that system before proceeding with any others.”

Osiris stared at the semi-solid projections of data, his icy eyes going over every detail of what lay before him, he closed the dossier he was currently scanning through and shut the projection off, letting his eyes settle on the visual port that was roughly ten or so meters beyond it, he looked out seeing the endless display of distant stars.

“Agreed,” He said coolly, with little change in his nearly expressionless face,”While you are good with intelligence gathering, we require a specialist.”

He walked away from the command center he stood in and headed for a elevator at the back of the bridge and boarded it. He selected the lower levels, and it began to descend as the genderless voice began to speak again.

“This is exactly why I was created, our superiors need this group to work so their activity can go unnoticed, and maybe such a group might help with the galactic community.”

There was a slight pause before it continued. “Goodness knows with what I have learned they could definitely use it. These flesh things always have something to squabble about, even those artificial one are not better, I find it rather insulting.”

“I am a thing of flesh as well Aesen…” Osiris spoke in his smooth but cool voice.

A chuckle came through the speakers, “You barely are, and if all organics were like you there wouldn’t be any problems. Anyways, I hand picked these sentients according to the mission parameters, but there's always room for more or changes to the roster if something comes up. I tried to keep it to only the  big players in this part of the galaxy, but their is potential in some of the other species as well, I’ll let you know if anything comes up with that.”

The elevator door opened and Osiris walked out into a long hallway and entered a room further down and to the right, the door clearly said in a holographic projection that it was a firing range.

He walked in and found himself in a rather size-able practice range, he put on a helmet that locked into to his power armor with a hiss as he went  up to the range. He touched the table in front of the range as his helmet’s HuD booted up. The smooth surface of the table opened up and a sleek rifle appeared and rose up and soon the table was even and continuous like the rifle had always been sitting there.

He picked it up and checked it out looking at its settings on the side for power level, and its fire settings, being full-auto or burst. His HuD recognized the weapons operating systems and linked up to it, giving its specifications in the hud in a quick scroll by.

Mk. IX Overcharged Photonic Rifle
Shots Till Depletion: 200 Low Power, 40 Max Power
Current Attachments: HuD Linked Targeting System

A targeting reticle appeared in the HuD simulated in his vision as if it was an actual  physical projection from the weapon to its current target.

“Aesen run target program two.” He said coolly as he aimed the weapon downrange.

“Yes Sir, Program starting. I shall compile some ship credentials for docking, they won’t be able to trace us, but the documentation will fool their systems. We’ll make the jump when it’s done.”

Osiris didn’t respond as repeated blasts fired from his weapon, downing target after holographic target with deadly trained precision and controlled bursts.

“Ooh looks like only a 5 nanometer improvement from last time.” Aesen projected from the the sound systems in a jokingly sarcastic way, as Osiris finished the simulation.

Osiris simply set the gun down and it disappeared right back into the smooth white surface of the table as he headed out of the room and back to the elevator.

“Okay….The other Organics do have something over you. A sense of humor.” An audible sigh came from the on board  audio systems, as Osiris headed up to his personal quarters.

“All right the credentials are done, engaging stealth systems, making the jump now.” Aesen said in a more serious tone.
There was no sound no charge up or anything remotely flashy as it occurred, they ship simply appeared in the Sol System. However it seemed nothing reacted to its sudden appearance, even though the ship detected massive activity throughout the system.

“We’re here, systems active, we’ll slip into real-space when you are ready to make contact.” Aesen chimed and then went silent.

Osiris looked at an optical feed from a screen in his quarters, looking at the hustle and bustle of the busy Human system, and replied to the shipboard AI,“Affirmative.”

Gaming Discussion / Dark Souls 3 - Impressions, Discussion
« on: June 25, 2016, 04:33:07 AM »

The Souls series is very interesting, and I have followed it for a while, this however is the first Soul game I have played. However that does not mean I know nothing of the previous installments, as I have watched playthroughs of each of them and know the lore pretty thoroughly in terms of the Trilogoy of Dark Souls games, I know bloodborne's lore too though not as well, and I don't really know much about Demon Souls lore.

Dark Souls 3 while being my first game I have to say Aesthetically is the best game in the series, and while some mechanics in the combat suck, that is more of a meta thing, the combat is smooth though when not accounting for inevitable multiplayer lag, and the game runs at 60 fps which is nice compared to previous games. The game is shorter than previous installments, but very well polished which is good. I have to say it is very replayable thanks to the invasion system, and the leveling. I Love leveling in this game.

I however don't like the level meta cause it punishes people like me who like constantly building a character to newer heights.

Anyways game is good I reccomend it, let me know if you have it and if you like it. Its also on sale 25% off on steam right now.

PBP Discussion / SenHai's Repository of ADD Fueled RP Ideas/Characters
« on: January 06, 2016, 03:39:27 AM »

This is a thread for me, and for you to read. I have an inkling that I shall never RP in a satisfactory manner ever again, I am at my wits end and yet my RP ideas are endlessly flooding my ADD addled brain. I literally can't stop, its bad. So I shall write them down to satisfy my need of having these ideas known, even if they are never acted upon. It's just something I must do.

If you want to comment that is fine, things to add to my idea's that is fine as well. This is mostly for me though. If you think an RP should start based on my idea, that's great too, but Unlikely as everyone want's something different and a middle ground is hard to find. I shall begin with my Next Post.

++Log:1, Year 5 after Emergence, Day 72++
.........
..............
........Begin Recording:

And when you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you. *Metal taps on stone like surface*  This realm's Human Philosphers put it best, for I have long gazed into the dark, and it has looked into me... This realm knows not the true horrors of war, and what lies in the abyss, but if it can be managed a few will be made to witness the abyss, to save the others from the knowledge of it.

Ignorance is truly bliss, but to remain ignorant...some from this crop must be harvested and made to know. And know they shall... In time, this will serve to benifit them, turn them away from what became of others...

I shall give them the cold embrace of the void, if only to make them insolation for the rest of these....primitives. A gift they shall never know of, and one that must be given. As it is the responsible thing to do. It is time to show them the void, their eyes open, so the rest may stay shut.

Rules

The most important rule to note for this game is no god-modding, you cannot make you character perform ridiculous feats, have knowledge of things they should not(Even hinting at it), or be able to do things they should not be capable of. You are not all one man armies, and so do not act as such, you are not all knowing either. Any who break this rule will be punished in game, what they do will be retconned and will instead face character consequences, if it gets bad enough, character death. You get three strikes with this.

The second rule to note is their will be minimum writing lengths, do not post something less than two complete paragraphs, meaning eight sentences. Think out each post, if you cannot think of something, do not post, I repeat, do not post. Short posts will be ignored or deleted. Do not respond to short posts. If you and a characters are having conversations and cannot think of ways to lengthen the post, combine your posts in a PM and make the conversation the viewpoint of one person(So it makes sense) and have the others write their replies. Then one of you makes the post. Ways to lengthen a post, include observations of your surroundings and other characters, gestures your character makes, condition your character is in, thoughts and feelings and movements. Their is plenty to write about. If you need to know about your surroundings, ask a GM through a PM or in the OOC thread. So remember, 2 paragraph minimum, this means 8 sentences minimum per post.

A Third rule is to know that this game will not be rules heavy, it will have a honor based system where you the player are responsible for making reasonable posts and actions that are within the abilities of your character, in both knowledge and combat. Refer to rule one for the punishments of going against this rule. In combat the GM, or whoever has created the scenario, will describe the situation in the best way they can, they will tell you where enemies are positioned, what they are doing, and where you are positioned, it is up with the players to write out what they do, within limits provided. Meaning you can kill random enemies with "ease"" as long as you write out and describe the combat(AND IT IS REASONABLE AND NOT DESCRIBED IN AN OP WAY, REFER TO RULE 1), communicate with the other players so you can know where everyone else is and who they went after.  Remember struggle, take damage, fight back, over come difficult odds, run from impossible ones. Come up with smart solutions to combat situations.

The Fourth and final Rule relates to difficult actions, or interacting with NPCs. You may talk with and make up NPC(Within reason, do not make them act out of character, Refer to rule 1 for punishments) and interact with said NPC as long as they act properly and do not give you some sort of advantage, not getting free stuff. So for purchasing Items, ask us GMs and will will tell you what they have in stock and how much it costs. Difficult actions will be determined by the GM, or if you think something should be difficult let us know, its better to let us know then us possibly mistaking it for god-modding. So lets say you want to hack a door, but its either very encrypted, or its a door that a foreign alien species designed(You can not possibly know the programming language it uses or immediately comprehend its mechanics, unless it is incredibly simple), then we can do a simple dice roll challenge that can be determined on the spot, depending how difficult it should be. This also applies to attempting something outside your character's skill set. This will also apply to Psionic powers in all cases, until the GM grant you proficiency to be able to use powers without consequence.

Name-Description

This Section is pretty simple and straight forward. Enter a Character name, and surname if applicable, or some form of identification. For Race it should be the race of the empire you come from, and while on this note, do not use characters you intend to use in the empire game, they will no longer apply there. However that does not mean Empire characters cannot make Cameos(At GM discretion). Also for race, if their is a subgroup your character belongs to, please identify it. Meaning Ethnicity and such. Such as Human, Oriental for an example. The rest is pretty self explanatory. For the Description, please write AT LEAST 1 paragraph. You may include an image but be warned, a paragraph description is still needed. In the description include everything from skin color, to identifying marks, such as tattoos, scars, birthmarks, etc.

Class-Combat Skills

Like any RPG, there will be a "class" for your character, this is generally to describe your role in combat, whether its Marksmen, sniper, rogue, assassin, Guardian, Support, medic, ect. You are free to invent a class as long as its described so we understand what you mean. Combat Proficiency describes your ability to use certain weapons, if you are a sniper, obviously you will use sniper rifles, and ect. You get to be proficient in two weapons to start, penalties will be given if you attempt to use weapons you are not proficient in using. You can learn to use new weapons over time, during times between missions/campaigns. However you will be limited by your class, and what is reasonable for your character to be able to use. Also there is a difference between weapon types, you will have to learn to use alternative versions of you weapon types. So identify what weapon type you are proficient at like this Sniper Rifle(Kinetic). For light ranged weapons(Meaning not heavy weapons) their will be 6 types {Kinetic, Photonic(Laser), Particle, Plasma, Tesla, Exotic}. You are limited to what your race has, the rest can be found or bought through the course of the game. For Heavy weapons(Meaning Gatling guns to Rocket/missile launchers) you get 7 types {Kinetic, Photonic(Laser), Particle, Plasma, Tesla, Explosive, Exotic} you only have what is available to your race similar to light weapons. For Melee weapons it will be simplified into Two-handed and One Handed, with 5 types for both {Standard, Powered, Energy, Electric, Exotic}. Pretty much all of you only have access to Standard.

Secondary combat skills will be different you can have 3, or more depending on class, and you may need to sacrifice one weapon proficiency to have more secondary combat skill. Secondary skills can be sort of like abilities, such as Suppressing Fire, Spotting, Stealth, etc. Or other forms of combat such as hand to hand combat, or Improvised weapons(Meaning the ability to use things around you in close combat such as stabbing someone with a pencil or bashing someone with a sharp rock laying near you. For Medics this can include Combat stims, Field Medical Treatment and similar things. For someone who supports, that might be coming to someones aid, Covered Retreats, and when you get tech later on giving Allies Temporary Shields and etc. This can also mean piloting combat vehicles, or piloting combat craft. Discuss with the GMs if you are unsure if a skill is acceptable. And as always, penalties if you do not have the skills required, and extreme penalties for not knowing medical skills.

Profession-Knowledge

For Profession this is rather self explanatory, as it means what is your characters job, if any. Are you a professional soldier? Doctor? Thief? Librarian? After deciding this, give yourself skill related to this, limiting you at 4 depending. This can be just about any skill your character has not related to combat. However space combat skill can be included here, meaning piloting combat space craft. Try to keep to what your profession would know.

Knowledge will pertain to exactly that, what your character is able to know or talk about. Everyone has basic knowledge of their own race, however to know everything about your race you will need to put Historian(Your Race Here), also all characters, unless they are an idiot , know basic things from math and science, on a basic level, for anything higher than that please specify. You may have 4 knowledge skills, two major and two minor. Major meaning you know just about everything for that subject(Like Historian), while minor means you know more than most but not everything in a subject. You can have more if you sacifice a skill for it. Also try to have knowledge related to your skills, also having certain types of knowledge can grant skill by default. Miscellaneous knowledge is not limited, and can relate to things your character likes, it does not necessarily affect your skills, but may be related to them.

Psionic Abilities

This is essentially Warp Powers, as you may come in contact with warp phenomenon during the course of these adventures. No one has these powers except Killer Rin's Race, with its Minor Telepathy, which his race gets as default. Only way for this to get stronger is to develop psionic powers through Warp Contact which has a chance of inducing mutation. You have a choice to get these powers in most cases, however if it is appropriate to give you a power as a sort of penalty, so be it. Only ORGANIC races can develop these powers, so most of you can with Rin's race having its foot in the door. So leave this blank, except for RIn's race, which simply put {Telepathy:Minor}. These powers are pretty unlimited in terms of scope and power, but have consequences. Checks are required, so dice will be rolled for these, nothing complicated though, and no major penalties if you fail. If you god mod though, your head may pop. Just let us know if you plan on getting these powers later on and the GMs will ensure you are given the chance. Skill level will come into play here, as follows {Novice, Skilled, Mastery} for each power, using a power gets you closer to increasing skill level, which in turn decreases chance of disaster. Their is always a chance for it to go wrong, but as long as you don't over exert yourself, or use a power that is dangerous by default, you should be fine.

Gear-Armor/Weapon Descriptions

Gear is essentially everything you own in terms of what you will bring with you. What you can bring into combat is different though, as that is limited to what can be carried. Include tools of your trade, weapons, armor and such. Clothing doesn't really need to be specified, I assume you will actually bring fresh clothing and not  ferment in weeks old undies. However anything useful should be accounted for. Also a wallet is essential. what a good amount of money to have at the beginning will be determined later. This game will have its own currency to be used universally and it will be kept in check, your starting money will mostly be for your home planet only, whenever you are there(Which won't be much at all unless the plot bring us there, which will be discussed later.) Give decent descriptions of your items, if necessary, you may also simply link pictures, which this is the only time this will be accepted as a description on its own. If you have more to add about these item, write it.

Background
Probably the most essential part of this sheet. A minimum of two paragraphs is required, more is highly encouraged. Build me a believable character please. You may be required to make changes if the GMs think it is necessary. If you intend to keep things hidden from people, please PM THE GMS ALL NECESSARY INFORMATION. You cannot hide information from us for any reason, IF it is important to character development and if you intend to build a plot for the group to follow during the RP. (Yes, you can make quests, this doesn't mean their isn't a story for this game, there is plenty to do, but you can add to it.) So make it a good read, but don't overdo it, sometimes things can become a bit repetitive, so edit and revise if necessary.

Final Notes

This game has a story it will follow, so do not fear stagnation. You can create your own plot-lines to follow as well, but take time to develop them, and PM detail to the GMs and we can figure out together when it would be best to follow it. Who knows, if it is appropriate and around our ability near the beginning, after the Intro mission, we can do a player made mission. Please have fun, this is what this game is for, first and foremost, not only will we flesh out each of your races, with your characters, but we will build a galaxy as we explore, encounter new civilizations, dungeon crawl, and hopefully stop terrible things from happening. Its cold out there in the unknown, you might be shocked at what you find.

Gaming Discussion / Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z- Impressions and Review
« on: February 05, 2014, 09:05:47 PM »

Dragon Ball Z, one of the Most Popular Animes in the West, and at least one everyone has heard about if they haven't watched it. When I saw this gme had come out I knew I had to buy it, being a Fan of DBZ but also because this one differed extremely from other iterations of the DBZ Franchise in gaming.

After watching DSP, DarkSydePhil, play this game and rage alot at some points, I decided I could do better. Not that I don't like the guy or his content he puts out, as I watch his playthroughs more than any other lets player.

So I bought the game knowing sort of what to expect after seeing some game play. I wasn't disappointed as the game is fun and challenging which is a good combination. The Combat is complex enough to allow for strategy, yet simplified enough to not overburden non-fighting game enthusiasts. Fighting games tend to be mostly the type of game this franchise spawns but this one is different, while it involves fighting it does not involve button combos to do special moves and such, at most you will ever do is push 2 to 3 buttons to do something unique. I play the 360 version as I love that console though I hate its offspring, the One, but I believe the controls are relatively the same regardless of console.

The fact this game comes out long after the show itself is long over means they have a full roster of characters, or at least a rather complete one as of course this being the Age of DLC means they have to have something to entice more money out of our pockets. Anyways though, it has most of the Original voice actors for the English Dub, discounting a few but for the most part for fans it will be fun.

Character line up, it seems to have everything discounting Original Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball GT (The Universally Hated Uncanonical post series to DBZ). I don't know for sure, but I am positive it lacks GT anything. However there is a character in this game I have never seen before, so it is either a Japanese character that never made it to the US from a Japanese only DBZ movie, or it is an entirely new Character for this game specifically or the upcoming DBZ movie I heard about. Either way it seems about everything one would want is present. Some characters are not playable though, such as Tien's side kick Chiaotzu.

The Gameplay is where this game is really unique, it has a card system involved, these cards are like power boosting stat modifiers. They add to ones combat effectiveness and raise the power level of the character. One thing to note is that true to the series, some characters are far more powerful naturally to others, but if you are a good player you can beat Cell with Yamcha if you wanted to, it would be difficult though. So these cards can be collected and purchase with points gained through combat, there are two currencies though DP(Dragon Points) which is easy to accumulate, and PP(Power Points). DP is used to acquire temporary item Cards that are one time use, while PP is used to acquire power cards, or Unique modifier Cards that affect your character in various ways, you can also purchase more powerful temporary cards as well though. So along with these power cards, item Cards and modifier cards is how they are used on the characters. Not every character can equip the same amount of cards, and can usually equip more of one type of card depending on there class.

Discussing class now, this adds a strategic component to the game, as you have you healers(Called Support), your distractors(Which unsurprisingly tends to always be the weaker characters, called Interfere type), your Melee type(I don't even need to explain), and your Ki blast type(Ranged). I find it essential to at least have one support character on the team, as you are asking for trouble without one, even then the AI isn't always 100% dependable but you are screwed if you go combat heavy.

The team you have consists of the Character you choose and three others which should consist of the other classes, usually not the one you are playing though some characters are dual classed, acting as two classes though mastering neither. Your team can also be equipped with cards so I find it pertinent to play continually and gather a good amount of cards to outfit your team, this is also essential to increase their rank as an NPC with the max being 10, Rank for NPCs helps them perform better and act less retarded, they are more dependable when maxed out. You as a player have a rank as well, though its universal and does not reset regardless of your character choice, while NPCs have a set rank that must be leveled up for each character but once leveled they stay leveled even when not used. So when you get a new team it may be good to go back and play past levels, which will be side content level called Age Levels, some being just waves of minion enemies, and others relating to the movies, play these enough times to level up your team then go back once they get at least to 6 and continue playing the story.

When it comes to combat you get three specials for each character, two can be used as long as you have energy and the third is usually a signature attack, usually a ranged or AoE attack some times both that can only be used after accumulating enough energy which is gained through combat. If your run out of energy your character gets gassed, MMA term for burned out, and can't move for a few seconds so be careful and try not to use it all as those few seconds can mean an ass beating. Some characters, usually powerful characters, with a few exceptions the only one I know so far is regular saiyan Goku, is they have an Ultra ability that can only be used during Canonical moments of the series, such as the spirit bomb for Goku, or Father Son Kamehameha for Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan, The latter I never accomplished due to being interrupted sadly and to my frustration. You only learn how to do Ultra's though by doing an Extra Age mission which is side content, so make sure to do it, because skipping it means you will be unable to do it at all till you figure it out by stumbling across it, which is rather dumb but I guess they expected players to figure it out by reading the description which tells you the victory condition is to use the attack.

After doing that you unlock a rather expensive item that must be purchased and equipped to a character with an Ultra to use it and only during a mission that allows you to use one, I believe. The good thing about this item is it isn't used even if you fail to do the move, I however do not know if it is used if you are successful which it most likely is, forcing you to save PP to get another one, but it isn't too expensive compared to better cards. If it lasts forever, that would be cool, but it would nullify the need to even purchase it once as purchasing it at all would make no sense. These moves are interrupt-able so it is suggested to be at full health and probably have your team doing its damnedest to keep the enemy at bay, as you must button mash to charge it up. This is where the game puts in a weird little gimmick that seems to not be really needed anymore, during the game you will be prompted to share energy, as if you were sending power to Goku for a Spirit bomb, this coalesced  energy can be seen in the game menu screen as a massive spirit bomb orbiting earth constantly receiving power from around the world from different players. As of now the power is at max, with something ridiculous like 999999999999999999999999, not sure if that is too many nines or too little. *shrug* Anyways sharing energy supposedly provides power to people performing ultras, which probably means the first person to get the game couldn't pull one off till enough people had played. Sharing energy provides PP though, and is the only way to acquire any at all, though apparently later there are cards that boost the amount gained.

Anyways as for difficulty, this game has it, the Bosses are sometimes really unfair, like the show, which I think really fits as being able to kick complete ass through the whole game would make it rather pointless. However if you uber your characters up, you can kick serious ass, but if you play dumb, you can still go down. In combat though any character you are fighting that has a star next to the healthbar means it is a tough enemy, everything else is a cake walk in some cases. Also to note, you cannot bring any character you want to a mission, unless its a side content mission, with the exception of the Ultra Tutorial one, which has set characters, and doesn't let you Ultra be interrupted >:( (DAMN YOU CELLI love you). So bosses are gently-carressing hard as they should be, but if you come prepared you can win and should win. The game is fun and has big boss battles in it, fighting Great Apes, and some other large bosses from the movies.

Overall I like this game, I despise its lack of local multiplayer, but I plan on getting a year of Xbox live anyways.

My overall impression so far is the game is fun and enjoyable, with character banter and the like, and really get me nostalgic for the show. It has enough strategy to be fun, and the combat is satisfy and has impact to it, you can really "Feel" those heavy blows. The graphics are great for something cell shaded, but they aren't super or anything they are just good and true to the show. I will post more later, but for now I am tired of typing this wall of text. Feel free to post your own experience or comments on this game, which may have gone unnoticed by many but I think is worth a look.

PBP Games / Frontier: The Void (Game Thread)
« on: November 23, 2013, 02:04:52 AM »
The Game has been moved Here

Frontier: The Void
Year: 2582 ; 120 Earth Years Prior to current year

At a random point in third Quadrant a massive rip in Quantum foam opened a massive spiraling menagerie of light and energy, and out tumbled a massive hulk of metal and rock. The huge object was the size of a small moon, and seemed to be made of the clumped and fused hulls of massive star ships and asteroids that had joined with it. It burned, and spurted as if the hulk had been shot at and heavily damaged, in fact it seemed that the Hulk had been blow in half, and this was only a singular half of a larger clump.

The rip slowly sealed itself, as the laws of reality yet again came into play, leaving a strange foreign object of matter, wholly not from this reality or universe, tumbling through space the burning wreck of foreign matter, most likely housed some unfortunate dwellers. The objects venture in this new reality did not last very long as it seemed to have come out in from of the path of a much larger celestial body, a massive comet that was at least twice its size.

The passing of 5 hours concluded that the two object would meet, and so they did, as the comet crashed into the hulk, both were destroyed in a fantastic display of ice, rock and metal, that glinted the distant star light, appearing as a bright white fire work of cold ice and metal. All occurred without a sound, not the slightest, and what occurred here would probably never be known, a silent event in a soundless void.

One piece however was on a direct course with a nearby planet, that one piece housed something that would change the course of the planet it hit, the course of life on it, and possibly of life in the galaxy.

--------------------------
20 Years later
--------------------------

Above a lush verdant world, a single piece of the outer hulk descended towards the surface. Many of its brethren had formed an icy ring around the planet, but it was destined to make impact with the world.

Down below the world had a vast hyperactive ecosystem, everything on the planet was potentially harmful, from the most unassuming plants, to massive predators and environmental hazards. The piece of our traveler made impact with the atmosphere as it began to shed its rocky outer layers and revealed a large metallic object of some sort, headed straight for ground, it looked like it had been constructed, and its rounded shape looked like it was made for impacts, but whatever systems were meant to correct it, had failed long ago as it made impact in a thick jungle, destroying a quarter mile of verdant foliage.

The metal vessel was blown asunder and it released a virulent cloud of green spores that landed in the upturned soil of the impact site, new life would start here.

-------------------------
100 years later, the Earth Year 2702
-------------------------

On the outer edge of the galaxy, a new phenomenon was occurring unlike the torrential rip that had happened a century prior, this one was control and nearly unnoticeable. A slit in the fabric of space and time opened and a fleet of dark crescent shaped ships of various sizes poured through. Sleek and dark the blended in well with the void, the only thing betraying their presence was when they happened to pass in front of the distant star light.

There were several large ships in the fleet that dwarfed the smaller ones near them. Within the central most one, in a central chamber sat a large robed figure holding a staff much like a Scythe, with a Scythe blade pointing in each direction. He had a flowing green robe and hood that hid his face in shadow except for two glowing emerald eyes.

His metallic, sharp fingers rapped against the ebony stone throne he sat on, he eventually tapped in the air and a misty interface made out of a greenish fog appear, strange alien runes and symbols on it, that defied understanding, he tapped on a few of them and then the interface disappeared.

A cold voice began to speak, it sounded artificial, a dark voice with a hint of synthetic emanation. It spoke in a completely alien language, one that used sounds that did not seem to be within the capacity of Human vocal manipulation.

For the sake of knowledge though, this was said,"Recon fleet, We have.....arrived. This is the calculated position of our targets arrival, it must have arrived within this galaxy."

The metal being continued,"I want all scout ships to begin plotting a galactic map, scan systems with orbiting bodies, and only chart starts without them. I expect this to be done quickly, we must check and see how much of a time difference there has been since our arrival. That is all, the rest, proceed to find a suitable planet for a tomb base." W

With that the fleet disperse, disappearing as quickly as they had arrived, with modes of transport beyond the capacity of understanding for lesser beings. The galaxy now had silent watchers, observers....from beyond.

Frontier: The Void

This is a Civilization based RP, where those involved will create a space bound Civilization and everything involved with building their Empire. For those of you familiar with the other Empires game, this will play similarly, but have a bit more structure involved in how it is played, though not too much to where it becomes too Restricting.

This game will be based around creating Civilizations, that are either just on the verge of better space travel, meaning already have ships and colonize a single system, Or you can be pre-spaceflight with the capability for space travel.

The Civilization sheet goes as follows:

One of the interesting things that must be taken into account when creating the Civilization you want is the Trait System. The trait system gives a unique mix to how your empire works and plays in the game. They give negatives and bonuses. A Bonus is a set percentage that goes into calculating your research, as is the negative, a large Bonus gives 5% and a trait with this kind of research bonus always gives a 5% negative somewhere, unless otherwise specified. A medium bonus would be half of that, being 2.5%, and the smallest Bonuses being a 1% bonus.

All bonuses have negatives, so think carefully when choosing.

Spoiler for Civ Traits:
Warmonger- This civilization is highly militirized and tends to be agressive in actions, it benifits from being always combat ready, and tend to have larger military forces. In attacks they can strike first in an invasion(Defenses that would shoot at them upon arrival are ignored) first turn. However in actions with other races besides war, they suffer penalties, because of reputation, though may be more sucessful in using fear. FEAR US! - Can force a surrender on NPC with a Roll, must beat NPC Moral Check. Strike first- Defenses are ignored, for the first turn in battle. Hated- Peaceful Societies will not associate with you, inversely a small chance can be gained with reasonable Aggressive empires, Hostile empires not affected. Scientist 5% Military Research Bonus.

Imperialist- Recieves Bonuses in naval construction or military research(Choice must be made) bonuses in establishing colonies on already populated worlds. Only recieve minor Trade bonuses,  only within area of influence. They suffer in relations with non-imperialist civilizations, they can also suffer from societal unrest in colonies. Usually have smaller military. Are not compatible with Peace-Keepers.  3% Naval Construction Bonus OR 3% Military Research Bonus. Scientist 5% Vessel Research Bonus.

Scientist- Recieve bonuses in terms of research, however not in all areas. Scientist trait is directly affected by other trait choices. It may only be tied to one trait though. Example, Scientist Warmonger gives bonus to military based Research only, Imperialist gives bonuses to Naval based Research, etc. The Negative is the fact that it does not give research bonuses across the board. 5% bonus to a specific field, field is determined by other trait it is attached to.

Explorer- Recieves bonuses related to travel, gets an intial boost to attaining FTL travel. For the dice rolls related to discovery in a system, they may elect for either a Re-roll or moving the roll one option up or down.  They also have some bonuses related to establishing colonies, on worlds without a population.  FTL +15% to Initial Research, 2% Research bonus on Travel Tech. Scientists- 5% Research in communications or Scanning/research equipment.

Peace-Keepers - The good guys (Sorta), they are willing to go out and help in other conflicts, for the sake of peace. They get bonuses in interaction, and military or naval research. They can suffer from a degrading reputation as they tend to get involved even when unwanted, however always get bonuses with a faction they help, usually in trade and economics. They are incompatible with Imperialists. Military Construction 3% OR Naval research 3%. Suffer in Reputation with Galactic Community when they get involved in Outside matters. Bonuses with assisted Empires, though only minor and only if the Empire is actually helped. Scientist 5% Weapon Research Bonus

Theocratic- Stronger Moral and society based on a Religious doctrine. They have bonuses when attempting to convert another society to their religion. Can be Militiraized or Peaceful, if militirized it gets military research bonuses but suffers in its reputation, if Peaceful get bonuses in interactions and civilian research. Cultural Conversion Trait - roll of a die Determines successful conversion of NPC civilization, however they have a chance to resist.  Militarized- 3% research bonus in Military Research. Loses Reputation with NPC factions of differing beliefs, harder to convert or gain political relations with. Peaceful- 3% bonus to Civilian Research; I.E. Improved living standards and available tech.  Scientist- 5% Psychological Research bonus.

Philosophical-Much like Theocratic, but more that they are defined by a certain doctrine and not a Religious Deity. They are capable of Cultural Subversion, to convert a people to a certain Ideal. They however suffer in Military research and Construction. They gain Bonuses in interactions and diplomacy, typically having well educated rulers. They may be seen as naive though by others, being fairly philosphical and not always practical. Cultural Subversion Trait - roll of a die Determines successful conversion of NPC civilization, however they have a chance to resist.  Diplomacy easier, however contradicting Beliefs negate this bonus. 4% Bonus in Civilian Construction; Especially in regards to building places for education. 4% reduction from Military Construction. Scientist- 5% Psychological Research bonus.

Corporate- Bonuses economically, and trade. Depending on the type of corporation, they may choose an area of expertese, but only one, which the recieve a bonus in. Suffers in reputation, especially with Communists.  3% bonus in Research and Construction, in one area of Expertise, I.E. Weapons, or Propulsion systems Etc. Communists Instantly Hostile. Bonus with Capitalists or other Corporations. Scientist 5% bonus in Research related to area of Expertise (Net 8% Bonus).

Communist - Recieves bonuses to construction across all types, especially War Production. Trade suffers, as does Economy, unless with another Communist Society. Reputation is lower with all races that have capitalist functions.  4% Construction bonus, Across the board. Trade Weak, Economy Weak, Only capable of trade with other Communists. Capitalists Hostile. research minus 1% across the board. Scientist - 5% Production Research Bonus

Capitalist - Bonuses in Trade, gets research bonuses regarding War, suffers in production unrelated to war.  Capitalists tend to have better relations with others of the same economic type. Suffer in relations with Communists. Tend to suffer Economically as they turn into a services economy, very hard to maintain a production economy. War Research 3%   Production Minus 1.5% Non- War Production (This can be accounted on slow switch to buyer economy; Comes into play once galactic trade starts). Communists Hostile. Scientist 5% Economic Research.

Another thing to consider for traits, is a singular one you will make, that has its own rules. It will be called the Racial Trait, a trait specifically related to the species you create or choose. This trait will be up to vote by the Group as to if it gives to many benefits or not, or if it could be game breaking.

Depending on the trait, one may not take Civilization Traits. For an Example:

Kulture - Dis trate iz fo' the ORKS! WAAAAAAGH, We Orks know how tings' are dun. We can build most anyfing, and luvs the Dakka!(Major Research Bonus For Military and Military Construction 5% ). Uvvas says dat we don't build good, dey say its Ramshackle! PAH! We Smash 'em good, da grots.(RamShackle Is a Negative, Ork stuff barely works, this is a problem in space, While Normal sized ships, such as frigates are no problem to build Kroozers and bigger get a 5% negative depending). Da Brain boyz made us good! We knows everyting about Waagh! I tink?(Both a Bonus and a Negative, Genetic instruction in Ork DNA allow them instinctual understanding of technology, however they have a set tech level that they cannot exceed, so while later on they have energy weapons, they will never move beyond standard SPWs as standard weapons. Research into new Weapons requires the Dakka! Levels to be at a certain level, Dakka! is a permannent research project, that goes up a level every 100%, more tech becomes available at each level) OH, and ya Git! Rememba dis! ORKS IZ DA BIGGEST! AN' DA STRONGEST! (This will cover the rest, Orks are naturally stronger and bigger than most races, and breed exceptionally fast, Orks get a 10% bonus to Population growth, they effective populate faster than everyone, however the negative for this is the fact Orks cannot get along, they will never form a lasting singular Governmental Entity, Orks will make war amongst themselves constantly and with others, Orks also need to steal certain things they are not able to build from other races.) WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!(Treat them as Warmongers as well when it comes to battles)

That is a small example, this trait means that the Ork Race may not take any Civilization traits and therefor not get bonuses related to that, all the negatives for Orks are also easily assumed if one looks into them. So depending on your racial trait, you may not take other traits. Meaning a smaller racial trait is better it you want more traits.

Also Identify something as NSFW if it qualifies as such, nothing Pornographic please, NSFW can mean things besides Sexual content.

NSFW-Violent Disturbing themes
Here is a little gem that is fun, but short. It is about oranges and game known as Russian Roulette, a strange combination but it provides for an amusing if not slightly disturbing game.

Hey I recently acquired one of my favorite RTS's of possibly all time, and was wondering if you all have it, and maybe want to play sometime, of course there are troubles with it, but I hear using Hamachi can help with Multiplayer problems.

So  any one interested?  or have any fond memories of this game?

A site some of you may or may not have heard of. This site is a site of stories, or documents you could say from a Secret Organization. That is how it all fits together anyways.

Its an interesting thing, having lots of creepy stuff to look through and can help with coming up with ideas for stories and such, or you can join the site and make your own.

Enjoy. Its quite a good read.

Markarth, they say all that goes through it is blood and silver. It is among this blood we shall find ourselves, this blood is people, they are the Blood of all Tamriel. It is among the Blood we find the few who stand out, those few make the world the way it is. Whether it is a Emperor leading his people, a bandit pillaging a village or someone with an utterly sinister purpose.

Just in Markarth you can find an example of all of this. It is these examples with which we shall associate. Let the waft of eternity grasp your senses as we open the Scroll yet again, and it shall tell you a story that had been written long before it started.

The air was warm and stagnant, It always seemed to be like this in Markarth, with the stone warmed by the bustling people in the city. The forges raged as they smelted silver from the mines, further adding to the heat. Sometimes a worker may be lucky to have the wind blow some snow into the crevasse in the mountain in which Markarth was built. The temperature differed in the higher areas though, as only the rich frequented those areas. Not even the cold mountain water seemed to help, when so close to the mine.

For travelers the stark contrast of temperature would be shocking, as it could be a steady 80 degrees Fahrenheit while just outside the entrance could be 40 and lower.

The Silver-Blood inn was not a jovial place, most of the patrons were workers who blew there Septims on alcohol to wash their troubled lives away, if only to escape for a little while.

Some were the curious sort though, who didn't have much to worry about, as they were well paid thugs in the pockets of the Silver-Blood Family.

The focus of their attention was the Robed man in the corner, who was nursing a glass of wine while ready intellectual books. He seemed fairly bulky under the robe betraying to them his armor underneath.

Occasionally he would speak to the inn-keeper and there was a slight of the hand, he was obviously paying the inn-keeper well, as this man had been living in the inn for a few months now.

Not much was known about him except he had payed frequent visits to Calcemo the Court Mage, who seemed all too intrigued in him. It was also known he was looking to hire people to help him, but the lack of available details left many not wanting to risk anything he could possibly offer.

Who would risk it? Only the Divines would know.

Skyrim - A Mind without a Heart
Hello! As you know I am LordNecross, also known as SenHai. I have decided to make a full fledged RP based in TES (The Elder Scrolls). This of course will be mostly taking place in Skyrim, but we will venture past its borders.

The Setting

You must know that this RP will be occurring during the Dragon Crisis, and none of you are Dovahkiin.  Your characters of course are better than the average joe, and may even be exceptionally skilled in certain areas. You are not Dragon slaying Mammoth tamer though, you are pretty much guaranteed a short part in this RP if you attempt to take things on beyond your skill.
We will be starting off in Markarth, how you come to be here is up to you, whether it be the promise of riches or adventure, or just needing a reason to keep fed and clothed, you will all arrive here. Your first posts don't have to centralized here, incase you need to build up for getting here, but get this done within the first few posts.

I am the Will of God.

As a GM or DM if you prefer, I will you all to live or die in my world. Keep reasonable and your character won't meet an unfortunate end. This is going to be a trust system for us all. So no planning to kill your fellow RPers and such, I doubt such things would occur anyways. Conflicts with characters should be planned out in PMs with the character you will conflict with. We all have different characters with different motives, so all might not be so peachy when it comes down everyone's goals in the game.
There is a main story line, and it is beyond your control, but like anything in TES, there is room to wander, and as our group grows in trust we will be able to trust each other enough to do planned side quests.
I will control major NPCs and generally any NPC I deem fit to use to advance story.

Combat

Combat will be based on a trust system in non-essential combat, random encounters, or fights you bring upon yourself.
Important combat will have its results deemed by me, and the roll of dice.
Dice rolls will be as such for any action requiring a skill.

Novice- a roll of 6 will be equivalent of a hit or a block or successful cast.

Apprentice- 5+ roll equivalent of a hit, block or successful cast.

Adept- 4+ roll equivalent of a hit, block or successful cast.

Expert- 3+ roll equivalent of a hit, block or successful cast.

Master- 3+ roll equivalent of a hit, block or successful cast, with 1 re-rolls for unsuccessful rolls.

Skills

You may have up to seven of these. You may have mastery of one skill or two at max, but I must be provided with sufficient reason to allow this. You can have expert of two other skill, and adept of three, the final skill is apprentice level, though it may be adept if you convinced me to allow you mastery of two skills.
Rolling for skills is much the same as combat, only for skills such as Sneak, speech, lockpicking, pickpocket.

Other skills simple determine skill of Smithing or Enchanting, or Alchemy. These I don't recommend in taking as major skills or at all, but you can if you want to.

I will let you know now, my character will have mastery of Smithing, so when it comes to needing gear made for you, just make sure you find equivalent supplies as the recipes in the game. Armor and weapons will not be improvable like in game, since it is not essential for the damage or protection system. Enchanting however will be useful as successful attacks auto apply weapon effects, and armor enchantments give you boosts depending on what it enhances.

Character Sheet

Birthsigns will be mostly for show, it would add another complexity that is unneeded.

Races will have use of their special abilities, such as natural resistances. Discussions of special rules will be made in the OOC and added to this post, so suggestions are nice. Though as for resistances, a resistance of 50% is equivalent to a roll 4-6 for success or flip of a coin. And powers are auto used, and have no chance of fail.

Skills added to the sheet are put into the categories and labeled for the skill level.
Example: Combat-Single handed (Expert), Light Armor (Adept)

Magic that is naturally known, such as base magics, and additional magic that a character who is more adept in the art is listed in the Known spell section. Make sure to list skills within ones ability, so a master of destruction can cast spells within that pool of that level.

The overall point of this game though is to have fun, if we don't enjoy it, why play at all?
As for play schedule, for the most part I will allow posting anytime, but I will have the sole power of controlling quest starting NPCs and advancing the story.
We will be starting as soon as I have the main quest line planned out.

Armor and Weapon Materials

These all have their own perks and abilities, Better stuff better damage or protection right?

One thing to know, if you have a Shield you will always have that attempt to take damage before falling to an armor save. So if the block fails, then the Armor roll is next, depending on skill, Mastery gives re-rolls. Dual wielding give two attacks in one turn, so two rolls. Meaning more damage, though you sacrifice blocking entirely and rely on your armor save.

Well its up to you to weigh the options. Also if certain parts on the character are not covered, then armor skill does not count for unprotected areas. This all depends on where one is hit.

Leather- This will include Hide as well. Its up side is it is Comfortable to wear, it does not hinder movement, and is not likely to cause much noise. Sneaky people will be hard to detect in this, even without it being enchanted. Auto re-roll on sneak attempts. only when wearing full leather.

It suffers in the fact that it is Barely Armor, you only get armor saves from this on a roll of a six. No matter ones skill with light armor.

Iron- Iron is a Soft Metal, compared to others. it absorbs impacts well, and weapons can get stuck in it, essentially making it hard for the attacker to recover after hitting your armor or shield. Iron Weapons get the Rusty perk, having a small chance to poison an enemy on a roll of 6 only, and only if the first roll is a six, in case you got a re-roll.

It suffers with Denting, Blunt weapons or heavy weapons can critically injure the wearer. Th armor collapses inward, breaking ribs, so a critical hit auto incapacitates a character. This only happens on a roll of six when hit in the chest, where the iron armor really protects. It hinders the player for two turns where only retreat is possible for the first turn and healing the second. Iron weapons need constant UpKeepyou must repair after 3 battles, and it costs one Iron ingot per iron item .

Steel- Everyones idea of standard armor. Steel is Dependable, and has a chance of deflecting successful hits on a second roll. So if the saving roll fails, the second roll negates damage only on a roll of six. Steel Weapons Have no Bonus, and no Fallbacks. No wonder so many people use them.

Steel armor  suffers from, Shaken. Armor that is hit has a chance of vibrating due to impact, this can either cause some one to be unable to use their shield next turn due to the shaking fatiguing the arm, or outright disorienting the person if hit in the head. Only happens on a failed roll of 1 for armor save or Block. Plate Armor has the same perks but has no vulnerable spots.

Chaurus Chitin- strange armor, and very diverse in form, made from the carapace of the Large Chaurus insects. Its Alive! I swear the armor is alive, as it bestows upon the wearer an additional wound for health, so any attacks made on the wearer, take this wound first, and prevent actual harm to the wearer. Weapons are equally strange, and how they are made, is only known to the Falmer, and possibly a few of the most Masterful Smiths, and it seems the weapons are Blood Thirsty, and on a roll of 6 attack that deals damage(meaning the enemy doesn't block or make a successful armor save), then the next attack will allow for an additional attack during the next turn.

Chaurus armor can seemingly cause the wearer to Flinch of a failed armor save of 1, this can cause an attack on anything nearby(friend or foe), it could cause the weapon to be dropped, or cause a spasm that could stagger the wearer. During a episode caused by a Chaurus weapons blood thirst, if one the next turns additional attacks fails, then the holder might feel Just a Pinch, which is cause by a hyperdermic fang that will sprout to take some of the holders blood. This blood does not intiate another frenzy, and in fact prevents it from happening for the rest of the battle.

Chitin- Rule Recommendation needed.

Elven- Armor of this type is of course Elegant, its appearance can distract one you are attacking or one who is attacking you on 33% chance. A special roll is made for anyone attacking or being assaulted in the armor a roll of 5-6 cause distraction preventing them from blocking, or stopping their attack. Weapons of this Type are Delicate, and are good duelist weapons, meaning one can use them in defense as well, as long as you are not duel wielding, you can make a defensive roll before making a roll for a block on a roll of a 5 you deflect a blow, and on a roll of a 6 you disarm them.

Elven armor is also Shiny, and when a full set is worn it makes it harder to sneak, when attempting to sneak a roll must be made to see if you are automatically spotted 4-6 you are not spotted, 1-3 you are. Elven Weapons are Light Weight, and in attempting to defend with them a failed roll of 2 knocks the weapon hard and fatigues attacking for next turn, a failed roll of 1 and the weapon is knocked from your grasp, disarming you.

Dwarven
- Dwarven armor is well designed and suits its purpose. Its almost as if wearing a full set made you a Machine, your attacks are purposeful, and even with its heavy design it the armor seems to help you attack better, and on a  roll of 6 for an attack the force behind your strike knocks back attempted blocks. Dwarven weapons have Heavy Blows and on a roll of 6  for an attack you can auto incapacitate a struck limb.

Dwarven Armor is a Burdon though, and movement is halved for moving turns, unless one has Mastery of Armor. Dwarven Weapons are also Heavy and  fatigue the attacker on a failed attack roll of 1.

BoneMold- ((Equivalent to Dwarven, as we will compare this to the enhanced version in Dragon born DLC)) Currently Enhanced wound(health) amount from the Armor, need recommendation as to down sides.

Scale Armor- Is heavier and more protective than Elven armor, it is especially protective against arrows, It being Scaled, it grants a re-roll to any failed roll against an attack from an arrow this includes Mastery Re-rolls.

Though it may be better protection and certainly lighter than plate, its design fails as it is a Shoulder Heavy much like chain mail, though this can be partially countered by using a belt. you have a 50% chance to not strike first in any fight and it is 100% without a belt.

Orcish- Orcish armor is Spiky and a high armor save or block roll with a shield will auto-wound an enemy for one wound, Orcish weapons are Jagged and all weapon have a chance to cause bleeding, and axes nearly guarantee bleeding.

Orcish armor, is Uncomfortable and low rolls for defense on armor, or block, can cause bleeding (roll of 2), and a single wound(Roll of 1) though an armor save can be rolled to prevent these, but it only counts towards stopping bleeding and the additional wound, not the original attack that struck. Orcish weapons are Crude and may hurt the person who uses the weapon if they don't know how to use it. Failed rolls can hit the player's self instead, (roll of 1 or 2), then a roll is made to save this wound.

Glass- Glass armor is Strange, I mean who in their right mind would wear Glass? But apparently the material has proven itself as it seems the wearer is more likely to resist magical attacks Giving a preliminary 5+ roll against ignoring a spell, this roll is only rolled once per type of spell, if a curse is ignored the next time a curse is attempted then this roll cannot be made within the same battle, this property also bestows allowing an additional enchantment to be placed on this type of armor.   Weapons made of glass are as Sharp as Broken glass!, Wounds from these weapons hurt like hell, and a critical wounds from these weapons cause spasms which can have varying effects. Getting glass in a wound is no fun. (FOr those who don't know the material is actually more like Volcanic Obsidian, according to Lore)

Both Glass armor and weapons suffer in the fact that though dependable and more protective than other light armors, they  can Crack. If the wearer is incapacitated for the fight, the armor becomes broken, and useless until repaired with the proper materials.

Nordic Carved Armor- Rule recommendation needed, though a benefit for the armor may be something Bear Related in name. Weapons however are the same as elven while Nordic Carved Armor Is nearly the Same as Ebony and can be considered an Alternative, though we should debate this first.

Ebony- Ebony is a rare armor, and  Exquisite in both form and function. This dark metal armor is exceedingly protective, giving a single re roll to any saves. Ebony weapons are Masterpieces and deal additional damage upon successful strikes automatically.

Ebony does not have much failings except that its Dark metal seems to adversely affect healing magics, healing magic suffers a minus 1 to rolls meaning a roll of 4-6 is now a roll of 5-6. Ebony weapons being the Master creations, they require equivalent skill to use, meaning one must have an expert ranking for the skill required to use the weapon type.

Daedric- Daedric Weapons and armor are Possessed  and give automatic re-rolls regardless of Skill. However they are equally Spiteful and a failed roll of one on a non-skill Re-roll, or standard roll; meaning

Dragon- Pending.

Curses, Mutations, and various Altering diseases

Lycanthropy- Like in th game, you are immune to further diseases, unlike the game, without a Ring of Hircine, you have no control over yourself in Werewolf state. The transformation increases wound threshold by 3, on top of your base amount. Skills are equivalent to an untransformed state, and magic is unusable when transformed. Without the Ring, you can attack anyone and anything, and attacks count as unarmed so attacks depend on your armor skill. You are given a single reroll for attacks and defense. You also make three attacks, one for jaws, and two for claws. With the Ring of Hircine you can control the transformation and who you attack, you also get an additional re-roll, but attack and defense is still dependent on skill. (Lycanthropy includes all forms of Lycanthropy, meaning it is not soley dependant on the wolf version of it.) Armor in beast for counts as Leather. Silver weapons do additional wounds to you in this state.

PBP Discussion / PbP Idea thread
« on: January 04, 2012, 12:53:17 AM »
Hey fellow forumites,

I just wanted to make a thread for posting various ideas on possible role playing games we could create in the forum. One thing that surprises me is I haven't seen a thread like this yet. Then again most of the RPers are more active on the other site.

A Major Idea I have had is for a Skyrim RP. If I had the time I would develop a plot or storyline for it. I have already seen a Elder Scrolls RP done on the other site, though it wasn't as successful. With all the excitement of thee game still going around another RP might be more successful.

Anyways I only mention this cause I had a really good Idea for a character.

Feel free to post ideas here. And discuss them, and find if anyone else is interested. As for the Skyrim RP, if someone else wants to make it go ahead, otherwise PM me if you are interested, and if I feel enough people are interested, it might inspire me to make a RP.

Gaming Discussion / Champions Online: Free For All
« on: July 12, 2011, 03:43:38 AM »

Champions online. A Fun Super Hero MMO, great for those who like MMO's or being a Super Hero.

Especially since it is now free, though that means many things are reserved for those who pay, but can be attained by free players who decide to toss a little cash in every now and then to unlock stuff.

I have been playing for a while and have to say its worth every cent I haven't payed. Its a good game even better cause its free.

Join up and see for yourself. Don't like it? You can just delete it. No money spent so no pain.

My hero's name is Ireguard, add me if you join.
