Just to let you guys know, my holiday is over now and I'm already burried in homework and reports that I have to write. I'll try to keep up but that game isn't a priority for me.

I can come up with something, but Dia's a dead end for me. Be ready to roleplay angry civilians.

That's understandable, real life must take precedence.

Well, at this point My plan for Dia was to say half a year later and a different village on the other side of the planet.... or not. I still have to teach them the satisfying joys of science

...And then the sudden and satisfying assimilation into the Arcadonian Empire.

Which is going to be as difficult as describing quantum physics to barbarians. :P

Well, I could take the easy path of telepathically giving them the entirety of Arcadonian Knowledge. It would be fun seeing how they dealt with this sudden burst of information

You would probably drive them to the point of madness, seeing as they're minds likely aren't developed enough to handle that kind of instant information.

True. I've also toyed around with just colonizing the world. I take the oceans and we screw with em on land every now and then

Okay Evan I left a few notes in your research post, please address them.

Also sorry everyone I was gone for so long, some very bad thing's happened recently and I did not and am not coping well with them, but I will start posting again. Just expect occasional...gaps for awhile.

Yeah, I have absolutely no motivation to keep this one going, so I think I'm gonna have to drop out. And since this game is the only thing I go to this site for, don't expect to see me here for a while.

I'll still be contactable here, though. Checking in on this site has become such a habit for me over the years that I still do it daily.

Keep calm and move along.

Well that sucks, but I understand. I'll keep your faction in dormancy in case you wish to play again.

Hey guys, for those of you still interested I have a proposition. I know by now because of my absence many of you probably think the game is dead, and given current circumstances that is understandable. The story is stagnant, momentum gone and the Jakarti War too challenging and long, so I'm thinking of initiating a limited reboot, which would work as follows:

1. Plot and story would start from the beginning.

2. NPC's would be reset.

3. Starting locations and travel times would be revised, so as to speed up game progression.

4. Players would restart with the homeworld and one extrasolar colony, bigger starting fleet and all Rates unlocked for construction (except Ultras).

5. More varied and flexible options for colonial development, such as colonizing multiple areas of one solar system, with each body having an RP value.

6. Higher prices due to No. 5 of course.

7. Certain technologies you unlocked would be retained, but not all, we'll have a discussion about it.

8. Me and Rin will work out an engaging and comprehensive story for you guys, as well as ways to add more random and interesting events to keep thing's interesting.

9. The ship statistics will stay the same for now, because it works pretty well.

10. Feel free to revise your Civ Sheets if you want to make any changes, remember to try something new so we all don't end up with identical traits.

11. Me and Rin will make the game more friendly for non-capitalist, non-imperialist players.

That's it so far for the reboot, let me know if you're interested, have any suggestions or if you want to stay the course. A reboot will likely start on a 2.0 page.

As for GM Advantages, they are as follows:

1. I will have higher quality ships and ground forces than the players, my fleet will also be larger, but within reasonable limits.

2. I will receive one extra colony and a little extra starting money.

3. I'll start with a little more developed infrastructure and a more loyal population.

4. My FTL will be faster.

Deputy GM gets the following advantages:

1. Bigger fleet.

2. Faster FTL.

3. Extra starting money.

4. More loyal population.

GM Limitations are:

1. I will not launch unprovoked Wars of Aggression against Players.

2. I will only act in self-defence, plot progression or if I think a conflict is too one-sided or unfair, so if you bully someone I will roll over you.

3. Additionally I reserve the right to act if I feel threatened by a Players' actions, such as surrounding me for example.

4. That being said, espionage, economic and political manipulation as well as NPC's are fair game.

5. I will not enter into any alliances or mergers with Players, to ensure no one gets an unfair advantage. Me and Rin may ally each other if we deem it necessary.

Deputy GM Limitations:

1. No Wars of Aggression until Players are developed enough to effectively defend themselves.

2. No attacking weaker players unless attacked.

3. No alliances or political mergers with Players, except with GM if circumstances call for it.

So how about it?

I wouldn't mind, my recent lack of posting has more been because of my lack of time than interest, but playing this game with only 3 people, two of which GM's is just not very appealing anyway. If this helps Mike for example get into it I'm 100% for it.

I'll be fine with that... though I'm not too sure on me having any Deputy GM Powers, it would be nice; but I pretty much only handle the map and rule expansions in addition to occasionally generating star systems

You're also going to be privy to the plot, and act in my stead if I'm gone for a period of time.

One thing to Mention for the game I am working on. My lack of updates is due to having a full time job plus school. I will post some updates, but as for when it starts, that will be when I have some free time.
