I thought that it was pretty much a given that there'd be nothing about EC at E3. They said summer and then went mum about it.

Yeah. Didn't expect that they would go on about it that much in the E3s, but lot's of people were hoping for some additional info on it.
It even came 2nd in "What do you hope/expect the most from EA's press conference?" poll after Dead Space 3.

That was a whole lot of wishful thinking.

In my case, I just left the whole of ME aside. Story's essentially over in what I consider an unsatisfying ending. The multiplayer part is... eh, shallow is one word. I got bored of it whithin one month. Seriously, selling booster packs for cash for the gamer to get a random chance at gear...that's essentially a TCG thing. Bleh, I have no interest in that kind of "gameplay", too much grinding.

I myself am still going to wait for the EC when it comes out, and see if it manages to reset my flame for the series, as I just haven't been able to bring myself to play ME after I finished ME3.

I still do like the universe and characters, even if I found the ending to be unsatisfying, so that's why I still hope for the best and fear for the worst.

I have been so turned off to the game I never completed the Third Game. Its quite sad. Maybe the free DLC will help me play it at least.

Well, to be entirely honest, I don't think it is worth of completion in its current form. I'm really sad that I feel this way, as I would really want to like it.

So that is indeed the hope.

But you missed the opportunity to hear us whine about how bad their proposed "DLC" is too! It fixes none of the problems people have had with it!
