Not to mention "borked" decision-making.

Though you have to admit, part of what EA is going through right now was caused by EA itself. I mean, running C&C into the ground so hard it made a crater, among other things.

For most of them, yeah.

Not surprising in the least.  Their stocks have dropped about 40% since the beginning of the year.  If you make bad products people will stop buying from you.  I know I have.  The last EA game I bought was Mass Effect 2 which was more than 2 years ago.  I never bought any of the DLC for it either.

Hopefully someone good buys them.  Someone who treats the developers and customers with respect.  One of the reasons Mass Effect 3 was so awful was because Bioware was full of newbie developers who were probably working insane hours.  All of the experienced developers left once EA started ruling with an iron fist.  EA has done this with all of their other studios that have failed.  Even if someone bad buys them it can't be any worse than the current management.  The current management has already pushed me away.  You can't do any worse than that from my standpoint.

'Oly crap, EA is going under? The juggernaught of the gaming industry is actually looking for a buyer? Boy, talk about history in the making, concerning the gaming industry at any rate.

Like Activision, no one is going to buy them whole. Because the company is so large, and covers several genres and platforms any reasonable buyer will wait till they can buy in pieces. Once they go to pieces, I can see Microsoft buying up Bioware and maybe one other studio from them.

I hope I'm wrong, but I've been thinking for some months now that we will have another video-game-industry crash. Shame.
Ever tried to be happy? Its kinda fun.

Crash? Not yet. But there is indeed a glut in not-so-good games. And gamers are gradually becoming more critical and/or changing tastes.

A Crash might not be all that bad if things get progressively worse on the quality front.

It was the bad quality of games that cause the crash, thats why I was thinking that way. But I'm probably overreacting.

Nah personally I will miss his sarcasm and his love of trolling. :P

And he meant the Gaming industry, the one that is dying.
