[float=left](http://bbsimg.ngfiles.com/1/5656000/ngbbs42c72125cf2b8.jpg)[/float] According to a statement by SCE executive Mike Hocking at the b.tween even in London, the next step in console gaming is going to be full-on virtual reality. He's stated that Sony's new HDM- Head-mounted Display will get us back to where we really wanted to be with virtual reality in the eighties. There are no currently released technical specifications for the device, however.
So start growing out your mullets, dust off your Journey CDs, and get ready to be a VR Trooper in the future, folks!

I want to be able to plug a cable into the back of my neck, like they do in Ghost in the Shell.

Virtual reality?
gently-carress YES!
Time to add perviness to games.
..oh crap...I just thought of something...
If the right people get their hands on anything like this then there will be a lot of hate towards games with romances in them.
The whole "Mass Effect 1 is a se simulator" thing will barely be a blip on the radar compared to what'll happen with VR. :D

I expect full backwards compatibility with every game ever made after the ps2 era.
