Corsair is GENERALLY a much better brand than G. Skill.  In that case they're basically the same, but Corsair is a more reputable brand.  I also like Mushkin and Kingston for RAM as well.

Also, there's no reason not to get a Black Edition CPU.  Even if you don't overclock their stock speeds are always higher and they are binned better.  Plus, even with everything else on stock you can just up the CPU multiplier a little bit and get 200mhz or so with no effort at all (if you feel like it).

Good points on the black edition.  I tend to avoid Kingston ram myself though.  It just seems so... ordinary. :P

Here where I live we get for memory brands (as of this month):
Kingston
Corsair
G-Skill
OCZ
Patriot

And some other unknown brands I know nothing about.
A couple of years back and we didn't even get Kingston realibly. It was all no-name misterious brands.

I've heard rumour OCZ is pulling out of the RAM market and focusing on SSD's.  Don't know that for sure though just what I heard.

They already have, as far as I know.  That must be back stock.  Their RAM was never really very good anyway.  I have always bought Kingston HyperX or Mushkin Blackline myself.
