Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
« on: April 06, 2012, 12:35:29 PM »
Well look at this, the new expansion pack for Sins has been released and I have to say I'm pretty damn excited.  My friends and I would play massive LAN games lasting sometimes up to 12 hours straight.  Great fun and this game being released will most likely revive those days.   x|

So who is all going to be getting it?  And if you already did, how is it and maybe we should setup a game night for everyone.   :D

Sounds like fun, I have always enjoyed Sins, but I'm not really good at it, I mostly quit after half an hour....

Sins? You get money from taxes and trade ports. You get crystals and metal from asteroids. Those are the only resources. You use all three to build ships and do research.

A little at first but honestly it is easy to learn.  Probably the funnest space strategy game out there.

A little, but its easy to pick up. I was able to teach my Brother and my Friend during the first half hour in our first game.  Its seriously fun as hell... and a Typical game can run upwards of 6 hours.

You turn it on in the morning, go to play and when you finally finish the game you look up and its pitch dark outside

It was fun, but the AI left a little to be desired. I found the Advent to be particulary fustrating to fight. All they did was build a bigass fleet, then just swarm me every time. It didn't help that they kept spamming those friggin powers of theirs either.

If I put on easy, it was way too easy for me.

We might have to play a match sometime. Though I SUCK against human opponents.

EDIT: Rebel TEC army is great for mauling things. Loyalist TEC army is great for turtling up. 2 Aragonev super fortresses per gravity well...

It would be pretty awesome if they made a game like this using Battlefleet Gothic.

Is that from our game?

Damn AI surrendered in the middle...probably because it saw that with only two AIs in play it'd have a hard time winning.

Even so...dang. It cut the game short...:(
