Precisely! I stole it from them first!

I'm coming for you Wise.

Nu-uh, I'm pretty sure I already used it in the Void 1,0

Guys, I know you really want to RP an orgy to relieve the pent up sexual tension you guys have as joint GM's of this game, but maybe http://game-iv.com/index.php?topic=374.0 is a better place for it?

No, we will have the orgy on this thread...and at my place. For that, I'm going to unleash a massive Kaveni orgy, but I'm not going to tell you when. I'm also going to send you pictures of the real-life orgy, pictures so disturbing you'll never be the same again.

Don't blame me! I'm trying to protect the chastity of my characters. Grif is the one throwing Orgies, clowns and misbehaving crew at me. :P

Sorry grif, will message you when I get a chance, will have some free time come monday, have work, plus I went back to skyrim and I was having trouble getting it to work with my new mod set up, but now it works and I am happy.

Okay, so, I admit that my only hesitation coming back into this is that I don't understand the current format of the research and construction system...and that Tobbs isn't here >_>

Can I just...not do research?

Sorry mate, R&C is kind of crucial. But once again, I can get Rin to personally tutor you on it, it's really simple. Write what you want to research/construct, put the price and purpose, update its status every page, you're good to go!

It would be really great to have the Xiph back. If you think about it, research-wise, the only difference from Empires is that you have to use RP, otherwise we didn't change too much from the template.

If you want to just not research, I'll veto Grif and let you skip it, or rather i'll automate R&D for you for awhile.

It's not really all that essential, just that you won't be getting tech bonuses, nor be able to construct top, top of the line ships, if combat comes along. That said I've also improved Post 4 of the OP to go into further detail of the R&D System, so if you don't understand anything let me know and I'll explain.

You don't get a veto.

You can discuss it with me however, I'm amenable to reason.

Nah, I get a Veto. It's a small Veto, but I get one. Especially when its a task which you would have delegated back to me anyways >:D

They saw how fast it moved. It was on his face in milliseconds while shoving its talons into his head. Any attempt at saving the guy would endanger the rest of the kill team. It's the classic case of sacrificing one for the many

I'm not 100% down on the anatomy, but I'm pretty sure those legs could serve the same purpose if the bugger was to try

Perhaps, but his whole point is to impregnate a host, not kill it.

How's the reboot working out so far? I'm thinking about perhaps jumping back in .3.

Nope, we managed to keep it alive so far.

As to how its working out, we did alot to make it better than the last version.

From a GM standpoint and compared to the last game, rolls are up to less interpretation between Grif and I; and with the pre-generated system we have been able to evenly split the workload to speed things up while allowing us to play the game more as players instead of as all powerful GM's. When it comes to NPCs, we have those already made and scattered around the system evenly so that everyone get a little bit of everything near them.

From a game play standpoint, dice roll thresholds that we use have been modified to be less brutal on exploration and the way resources work is also more logical since it now goes off of the assumption that you need to actually work a system to get resources from it. Since the map is smaller, its also less exploration and more action since you can get into the meat of things faster.

If you want to jump back in I'd be happy to help you get started.

What Rin said, if Tobbs comes back then I'm sure Ragez is a shoe-in for a return. Add Necross on top of that and we'll have a full game again.

Actually, I'm gonna make a new one. Using the old one would kinda feel like restarting the game because your save file was corrupted, doing everything all over again. With a new civ, it'd be like a new game c:

So can I just grab the regular civ sheet and get started or is there anything I need to know first?

Keep calm and move along.

Yep, you can grab the regular civ sheet and get started. The process for creating a civ is pretty much the same. You get some extra leeway with Race traits this time, so try to make your species unique-like. So for example, if you want to be an extremeophile, Grif and I will be more than happy to give you bonuses for colonizing harsh worlds or systems. If an Avian species, we will let you colonize gas giants. If your civ is an eskimo-civ, we let you do ice planets and asteroids without needing to teraform them first.

If you want to try some type of psychic power, Telepathy is always opened since I paved the way for it, but if you want to try something out like Precognition, Luminescence, or even something like Regeneration I would be happy to create a ruleset that would work for it... standard Sci-fi limitations apply

Also, Your homeworld is at 7, 11 and you get 2 free colonies. The colonies can go on any hex directly touching your homeworld, and if you want you can stack them in one system. Just let me know the hexes you want and I will reveal them to you
