Today's Greatest Thing Ever: Comic-Con Movie Mashup
« on: May 26, 2012, 05:44:17 PM »
[float=left][attach=1][/float]Seriously, this is magical, even if it's not necessarily videogame related.  At the Emerald City ComicCon, a group of some of the most prolific voice actors in the entertainment industry got together for what's known as a "table read" for some of the most famous movie scripts in Hollywood, such as The Wizard of Oz, Silence of the Lambs, and Star Wars IV: A New Hope.  The twist is that they read all of the lines in-character, using the voices that they made famous.

The voice actors in question (from left to right) are: Kevin Conroy (Batman), John DiMaggio (Bender, Marcus Fenix), Billy West (Bugs Bunny, Fry), Jess Harnell (Captain Hero, Wakko), Tara Strong (Rikku, Twilight Sparkle), Maurice LaMarche (Kif Kroker, Morbo), and Ron Paulsen (Pinky)

ECCC 2012: Star Wars Trilogy: The Radio Play - Official Video

Let me just put this in perspective:  in the first scene of the Star Wars table read, Kevin Conroy (Batman) narrates the opening crawl, followed by Tara Strong (as Bubbles) voicing Darth Vader, with Ron Paulsen (Pinky) as a Stormtrooper, Jess Harnell (as Adam West) for the Captain, and John DiMaggio (as Jake) voicing Princess Leia.  It's 80 minutes long, and it's the best thing ever.  And that's just the first video.  The second video is The Wizard of Oz and Silence of the Lambs, and it's after the break.[cutoff]

This may have changed my life. I am forever awed, and I'm fairly sure I will never enjoy anything again, as nothing is as great as this.

...I'm speechless.

I wonder how it'd look if someone took this audio and used it in the movies instead.
