It's not a "we'll see" type of thing...  It's been confirmed by everyone who bothered to take it off... ;)
:P Well I just got the parts and I'm installing windows right now. :woot: This thing is fast as hell. And if I have to I'll go and buy a Deluxe instead if this board doesn't deliver.

Going from a duo core to an i7 is magical.

Triple core in my case. But I know that by year's end my rig won't play games very well.

Try going from a Core 2 Duo 2.13 GHz ASUS G60VX with the 260M to my rig...I can't describe how incredible the difference is!  8)

Haha, you beat me. But in all seriousness, I went straight from the ASUS to this rig. And before the ASUS I was using my dad's Dell Optiplex something-or-other PoS with a P4 @3.2  O.o

Triple core SHOULD do fine in the near-mid future as long as you have 4GB RAM or more and is at 3.7 ghz or greater.

Nope!

I have 8 gigabytes of RAM, but the damn processor is only 2.8ghz.

It's a Phenom II X3 720 BE.

Anyone know why I would get stuttering lag on a game like GTA IV even though my FPS is perfect its jumping around.

Haha, fo sho.  8)
IIRC, it also had a Radeon X110 (and it was an Optiplex 320). And ONE ENTIRE GIG of DDR2.

Also, I was getting stuttering lag on my G60VX while playing GTA IV, but I was also getting anywhere from 10-40 FPS depending on how fast my current car was going...

YES! Thats the problem I'm having. IT didn't happen with my duo core and 4870x2 though.

I had an onboard Graphics card, I had 2 gigs of DDR2 :P Upgraded of course.

So what OC is your 2600k at now? Also, are you still using the 2x4870s?

Oooooh, I understand now  x|

I really want another 6970, but I suppose by the time I have the disposable income for one it will be a low-end GPU. You should fold on the dual 4870 :teehee: I get approx. 25k points/day on my i7 when I fold, but the weather has been so incredibly hot & humid that I have decided it was better not to.

That's called micro-stuttering and it's caused by bad Crossfire/SLI support for whatever game you are playing.  Try it with CF disabled and see if it still happens.

GTA IV won't run with crossfire on period, it gets the micro stuttering with just the one card on as well.

the x2 runs stupidly hot not a good folding thing. I may throw it back on the duo core and fold with it though for lolz.

Super hot components are never good. Back to GTA though...I forgot how much fun I had driving cars around. I need to reinstall that. Too bad my bandwidth at home is so slow that it will take years to download it from Steam, which is where Sweffy gifted it to me like a year and a half ago.

Yeah, when I build my next computer I'll ditch ATI in favor of Nvidia. This underscan excrement is getting on my nerves.
