I can't help but see a long, slippery slope in all of this. People already think I'm weird because I don't have a Facebook account. I know people who catalog their every movement on Facebook. I have this horrible, Brave New World-ish vision of a near future where the law is entitled to ask you why you're not on Facebook.

sums up what I wear and I know I am pale, this was taken on like the first warm day in the north after the brutal 7 month winter, I have some color on me now  . My leather shoes are epic and yes, that is a peacock. I was hunting it and planning on stuffing it.... 

What's wrong with being pale? 

Of course, I say this as someone who is genetically incapable of tanning. Just makes me a natural goth, I guess 

I feel left out. My hair has only been auburn, black, and neon blue.

As for fashion, I used to do a lot more "dressing up" than I do now, like wearing 20lbs of jewelry, or purple vinyl pants.

I really want to get a small studio setup in the office here so I can at least start making jewelry again.

I'd be worried about what that would do but I guess its just hair.

So far, it hasn't done anything.

I like the idea of expressing oneself-it feels good to do so, and I probably act very differently because of it.

I even once considered growing my hair out and dying it black (of course...that got thwarted because my hair grows in thick and traps heat like none other).

Hah.....I have dyed my hair black since I was 16, even though I'm a natural redhead. But the pale redhead skin goes well with the goth look

I'm gone for a couple of days, and this thread turns into a political/moral discussion?

I get most of my resources from fabric and thrift stores and create my outfits myself. But, I guess, occasionally, there is something I have to have, and, in those instances, I probably spend more than I should.

But fashion, to me, is not about getting laid, or anything like that. Fashion is it's own reward. It's simply a matter of expression.
