That is exactly what I was questioning. Why?
To avoid having to deal with player decisions from the first three games.

It's a smart move, really.

Because it's set in Andromeda? That seems like the logical conclusion.

OH MY GOD WILL YOU BOTS KINDLY GO gently-carress YOURSELVES?

I'm leaving this one post so I don't look like I'm yelling at nothing, but I swear to christ, there have been like six in this thread alone. gently-carress. Off.

I wouldn't be too surprised if they did, many fans love that kind of continuation, they think it's sweet.
I know they do and I will never understand it. It's so... masturbatory.

Dogmeat was also in Fallout 2 if I remember correctly, which took place a significant number of decades before Fallout 3, but that didn't stop them. They probably brought him back in a different incarnation for Fallout 4.

I can be nerdy too.
I believe Bethesda actually confirmed that the Dogmeat in Fallout 3 is a direct descendant of the Dogmeat in the first game. Which... doesn't really make sense, considering
1) Fallout 1 takes place hundreds of miles from Fallout 3
2) Dogmeat died long before he could have sired puppies.

Mostly I just don't want them to name the dog dogmeat again. I hate in-jokes like that.

lol no he didn't you just weren't paying attention. He changed it so its good now.
Spoiler for Hiden:
It was a joke. I changed the title.
Bethesda did pretty well with Fallout 3 I thought, the story was engaging, the gameplay was good and I really enjoyed blowing up Megaton. I see no reason why they couldn't do as well with Fallout 4.
Yeah, I don't... really agree with any of that. I thought Fallout 3 was a terrible game, and was shocked when I played the first two afterwards and actually enjoyed them.

*nerd voice* Um, actually, Dogmeat in Fallout 3 is an Australian cattle dog.

The dog in this trailer is a German shepherd.

I just... can't get as into a character if they're voiced.

Like, Telltale games are one thing, but this is Fallout. I want to be able to make a wide variety of different characters with different personalities and values, and that's really hard if they all have the same voice.

I'm really glad it looks like there's going to be a lot more colour this time around.

Not so glad about it probably being made by Bethesda, and maybe voiced protagonist?

What is my problem?
Why is it when I hear of others being together I feel further apart from them?
Am I shutting myself out or am I closing down in case I am shut out?
Why do I feel more alone and down when more people are happy, why aren't I happy for them?
I'm no psychologist, but I do know this is an extremely common sign of depression.

I've experienced it a lot, and I wish I could tell you I'd figured out how to get over it.

People are constantly arriving from the Middle East. In relation to our size, we take on more people than anyone else. And the stream of immigrants is only getting bigger.
Well... maybe yell at some other countries to get their excrement together and stop making people from the Middle East feel unwelcome.

I dunno. That's definitely a tricky situation, because I imagine people moving there from the middle east have nowhere else to go, but if people who already live there have to go broke to accommodate them, that's not ideal either.

To be fair, I do think if the government has geneuinely researched this and discovered "excrement. A gently-carressload of people are gonna want to move here." it's probably a smart idea to not force those people into homelessness or poverty?

America does that, and let me tell you, it's some hot garbage.

I mean... do those immigrants have anywhere else to go? How do you even know they're coming?

Man. Making a mod is probably the most obtuse thing I've ever attempted.

And making an actual game has to be harder. How do we have an entire industry based on this?

here is the link until then, I guess.

I mostly play weird visual novels and really old RPGs, so it'd probably be able to handle my stuff.

I don't need a new computer, though, and I don't have money to pay for shipping and handling atm, so if anyone else needs a new computer, I say give it them.

I mean, I don't know what that is, but I could use a new computer, and I'll take anything that's (mostly) free.

Has anyone happened to have seen an anime called Ghost Stories? Apparently, this anime was so horrendously bad, that when it came to making the English dub, the script writers were given free reign to do whatever they wanted with it, just as long as they could make it sell. The result is like an expensive Abridged version, and it's amazing. It raised the series' score from about 2/10 to 8,5.

Ghost stories is great.
Just an Anouncement for myself, and to let you all know in case you are interested, so you can be possible guinea pigs and I can break your games.. I think I am going to start modding for Skyrim and New Vegas and such. So I can get practice programming, Modeling and texturing and such.

It won't be immediately cause I am too busy with school at the moment, but I will start once I am out. Will need to invest in a tablet as well.
What kinda mods do you figure you'll be making? Quest mods? Or are you gonna try a bit of everything and see how it goes?

I'm certain good free mods would continue to exist.

The Sims has had paid mods since it first came out, and there are still plenty of free ones (Hell, most of the paid mods are stuff like hairs and clothes. The actual, game-changing mods are almost exclusively free.)

Like... why, though? I just do not understand why anyone is so gently-carressing opposed to mod makers being able to get money for the stuff they do.

The way Steam and Bethesda did it? Sure, I get that, the way that it was set up is excrementty. But in general, what is so gently-carressing terrible about someone being able to take a thing they do for fun and say "Hey, I'd maybe like to use this as a way to make money"

Like, say you know a person who bakes for fun. One day they open a bakery and start selling the stuff they bake. Would you get mad about that? No, right? Because that's a "legitimate business" But making mods? Nooooo. That's just a fun hobby! You can only do that for fun! How dare you not just give away something you put hours of work into!
